I have to miss the episode they're showing on BBCA today because I have to go in to work 4 hours early. And I'll probably miss THAT episode too, because I'll be in Dallas to see Chris Hardwick. It's times like this I really regret not jumping on the DVR bandwagon.

Okay, I "legally viewed" both episodes over the internet. It confirmed my suspicion, and also totally explains stuff! Except for that part in BLEEP where she BLEEP and then didn't BLEEP. I mean, if she BLEEP in that one episode then why didn't she BLEEP when she BLEEP in the BLEEP? Ah Spoilers. How I love thee.

I DID guess. AND I figured out that the baby was not really there when they "rescued" her. And I also guessed why the child in episode 2 regenerated without the Doctor knowing that she was a Time Lord. I still have SO many questions.

Those were aliens that owed Doctor Who from back in the day. And with the Doctor, back in the day can literally be any day, so they're not necessarily characters that ever appeared on the show before. Interesting interaction between him and Rory. It's really nice to see Rory being a badass, and I totally understand his uncontrolled weeping with the child. Any father does. I root for him almost more than the Doctor.

I REALLY liked the Doctor's reaction when he figured it out. Matt Smith is a genius with physical comedy. Maybe not the best dramatic actor (though he's pretty good) but his physical performance reminds me of Peter Sellers. Just on purpose bumbling that is endearing and entertaining.

I quite like Matt too, but never having watched the tennant series I don't have the same reference point others do.

I wonder how they are going to resolve RS. They can't really have two time lords, can they?

You're robbing yourself if you don't watch the first 4 Series before Matt Smith. Eccleston is pretty brilliant as the doctor as well. You can skip a great deal of the Catherine Tate episodes if you want to, though, as most of those are just a build up to the last of Tennant's run as the Doctor.

But she's not REALLY a time lord. She's got human DNA, just with extra bits.

I've downloaded a program called Expat Shield, which gives me a UK IP address so I can watch episodes online if I want, and episodes of Doctor Who Confidential, which does not come on BBCA. Simon Pegg narrated the first series of that show (he also appeared as the Editor in the 7th episode of Eccleston's run).

I actually watched 3-4 of the ecclestone episodes when it first came back and didn't enjoy them at all, which is why I haven't really watched it.

I only watched it on saturday because I was helping Ellie look after the girls she nannys for, and they love to watch it.

Third gorgeous weather day in a row.

(Unfortunately there's a prediction for heat increasing and humidity as well.)

Watched the US Collegeate Rugby 7s championship games this past weekend. Seeing a sport like this on TV for a change was very good.

The Prefontaine Classic T&F Championship was also a good watch.

Guess there's a supposed show down between the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winners this Saturday at the Preakness.

Ah, weather and sports.
