Yep. What's funny is it's totally over the heads of most of the "Irish" people you'll meet in America.

I wouldn't try it at my local Irish pub though. They have a portrait of Michael Collins on the wall. I probably wouldn't make it out alive.

Je weet toch dat oranje voor de Protestantse Ieren staat, omdat Willem III van Oranje de katholieke Jakob II van Engeland versloeg in de veldslag van de Boyne (in Ierland)?

You know that I didn't understand a word of that.   Well I understood Boyne which is quite interesting because, despite what wiki says, the battle of the Boyne was not that important

My football/soccer team won 6-0 today, first game of the season. I got an assist and we actually looked really decent.

Having watched us play once, Wiss van attest that this also a random surprising thing too  :wink:

Last Friday my youngest brother got married at a lovely little castle (I'd link to the official site but I can't believe how crap the photos on that site are, it's almost like they tried to make them all look plain, uninteresting and taken from all the wrong angles).

It's my 36th birthday today.

I celebrated it during the weekend (both Saturday and Sunday), and got myself some nice gifts like The Wise Man's Fear, Assassin's Creed Revelations for the PS3 and also the Metal Gear Solid HD remake pack (containing MGS 2, 3 & Peacewalker).

I think you won that match 1-0 or something like that. Very low scoring, I don't recall your keeper giving up any.  For a rec league game that's pretty impressive at least!
