They are always looking for Tech people, and the best part is there is not a huge commitment required for tech. (You pretty much work on it when you can.) So check out the volunteer form if you are interested.

It was just a cheap knock-off of skins to me, without drugs, because it was US based. Also, they made so many mistakes canon-wise it made me cry.

No, I genuinely loved it. I'm not deep enough into the BSG universe to care about mistakes with canon, which may be part of why I like it.

They tried to make it for American TV, but they really tried to "Americanize" it and it was terrible.

Today I had to call the VA to straighten out education benefits. I had to chuckle when a recorded voice came on and said "If you're calling from a touchtone phone, please press one." What did they think I was doing, sending smoke signals? I half expected the recorded voice to follow up with "If you're calling from a rotary phone, it's 2012. Go get a touchtone phone and call back, sucka."

Yeah, that must have taken some real effort!

As for happy news, we managed to sell the baby room furniture for €350! It's always nice to get money back which you had spend a long time ago and weren't counting on any more.

I actually agree that Caprica (at least for the first few episodes) was pretty cool. The pilot blew me away, and I admit that it went downhill and got very soap-opera-y after that. But I loved the basic premise -- big question of what defines humanity, etc.

I've never seen a single ep of BSG, though, and didn't even know Caprica was a spin-off until weeks after I started watching it.

Besides, the chick who played the robot was hot.
