If you're curious about the nerdrage over Star Wars, watch The People vs. George Lucas -- it's a pretty balanced look at the whole issue, and is funny to boot. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but as a film fan it pisses me off that Lucas has done his level best to erase the original versions of the first three movies from the record, which is bullshit. Update as you see fit, they're your movies; but for god's sake, don't try to erase the historical record.
