No way. I like them doing their own thing for non-GW prices better.

Very nice looking models.

Perfect for my Swiss army I keep promising myself I'm going to finish some day.  Well minus the archers but they might easily convert into pikemen.

They have also stated they will do a second set more appropriate to continental mercenaries (which I imagine would be good for Swiss, Burgundians, French, Felmish, etc. troops.) They mentioned pike, crossbow and handgun.

I'm curious if they'll do some heavily armoured men at arms (mounted and/or dismounted.)

Fantastic!

By the way, the first part of this thread is confusing. Why is Mathi lecturing me about something I don't appear to have said?

For £15 it's great - and it looks like the arms are separate.

It will be interesting to see how ell they mix and match with Ed.6 Empire soldier arms.

... and all those archer accessories spread around my existing militia .......

GW should hire the Perrys to make all empire models for the rest of their lives and just leave it at that.

The models are great, but 3:1 archer/billmen in a box won't separate me from my money.

Yeah, that's really aimed at the historical period the set is intended for. It would have been nice to have enough arms to alter that a bit, but I assume they were trying to fit as many figures in the kit as possible, rather than additional options.

When they arrive, I'll post some pics of them next to some of the Empire plastics. Like Midaski said, it will be interesting to see what sort of conversions are possible.

Perry models were the reason I got into Empire in the first place.

Well, too many archers:too few billmen anyway
What am I going to do with 22 archers? I mean, other than totally awesome and super effective fire support.

Forcefeed them to people you don't like.

You should send those archers to me for extra training. Archers and huntsmen in my army never fail to make an impression!  :closed-eyes:

Sell them to Bretonnian players. Start a Bretonnian army?

At the price they're charging, you could throw away all the archers, and you'd still be paying less per billman than GW figures.

That's a very good point. And I suppose I could convert them into something else.

Ah this warms my heart... too bad the best thing to happen to Empire minis in years wasn't made by GW.   :icon_mrgreen:

I believe they still work for GW actually, on some projects.  I know a lot of the LotR range is actually the Perrys.

But yes, I'm thrilled these guys heve done something obviously so "Empire".  Especially considering that they've sculped so many of the classic empire metal  minis.

This is pure win. :smile2:
