New Marco Columbo
« on: August 08, 2013, 05:55:18 PM »
So the games day miniature will be a new Marco Columbo. Is anyone planning on going and getting one? Another mini for Chumley's collection

I have the old Marco Columbo but I'm still tempted

I'll pass on it. I don't like the arrogant look to him at all.

You are correct! I think it may be physically impossible for you to pass on it at this point.

I like the chameleon thing on his shoulder, if it wasn't for that I would probably stick with my old Marco but I love small animals like that so will probably get someone from my local store to pick one up when they go.

I wonder if Rik Mayall is getting a royalty, ............. well maybe it should be Rowan Atkinson and Ben Elton.

Nice model, but I won't be getting one... All the Lizardmen details kind of ruined him (at least for me). I know they are there for fluff reasons, but I just don't like em...

Edit: Could someone post pics of the compoments? Maybe I can 'salvage' enoug of the model to make it worth it...

the hand holding the head can be removed with a sharp knife and something else could replace it, more problematic is the lizard skin cape, it looks nice, but if it too throws you off it could be sanded/carved down and greenstuffed to make it more normal, but why this is an unusual character, it you want him to look like everyone else then why bother to begin with?  I like him and now wish that I had bought several more to convert.  steveb

I second the request of Grutch.  If anyone is going and can pick one up for me, I would be in your debt!  Chumley, you wanna pick up a whole mess of these for us?  :engel:

You could always cut off the hand holding the gold lizard skull and replace it with that fancy pistol from the general box.
If I remember correctly, that hand also has a glove so it'll fit perfectly.

I wouldn't bother to remove the cloak and the chameleon.
That gives him a lot of character. Makes him look like he's traveled the whole world and seen a lot (which he has, of course :icon_lol:).

As for the pendant, you could always scrape it of and replace it with a comet, or something else which you find appropriate.
