Thanks to all of you guys! Feel free to drop some critique as well - it is never too late to get better...

Here are some final pics of Hurricanum/Luminarc...
Chariot alone

As Hurricanum/ Forecast machine

As Luminarc/ Death ray

Most of the parts are just arranged together, I couldn't really show all of the stuff. Some of the part seem not needed to paint, since hurricanum is missing big metal ball in the middle...

With the time lapse I was initially thinking the guy with the two-handed bomb was getting ready to stab someone with a long iron spike.

The idea he has a bomb that might go off when he hits something means he could be a suicide Ork bomber. :icon_eek: :icon_lol:

As far as I know, that bit is from an Ork Tankbusta, the idea being that if you want it delivered reliably, better do it yourself...

He is a tankbusta indeed - converted from fantasy orc boys standart bearer's arms and rokkit launcha rocket. It's called tankhammer and it does D3 mortal wounds if it hits, but it kills the bearer as well. Classic marvel of orc technology :D

Silvero, I had another thought. How would you like to paint some Dark Elf Cold One Knights? 3 units, 6 models per unit, full command group in each unit. Also, a lone hero riding a cold one. That is, 19 mounted models similar enough to be suitable for batch painting. Do you think you could do a decent result in, say, 30 hours?

Sounds good, but mounted models are always tricky. Depends on the colour scheme, maybe, If it is easy enough...

I have painted couple of these two years ago and it took me 4-5 hours per model...

Any estimate on how much of that time was spent on the mount versus the rider?

It might have been roughly 2:1 mount vs. the rider...  :-D

Looking good. Are the two last painted brighter, or just photographed in brighter light conditions?

Looking at what you are able to accomplish with an Ork boy vs. my own progress in an hour is kind of disparaging to say the least.
Nice looking models as always!

These guys are pleasure to paint, having painted some orc for 40K helps, and working in batch of 12 saves a lot of time!

Thanks warhammerlord_soth!  :smile2:

Again - simple sculpts + simple scheme = 1,25 hours per model. That leaves more time for rare units and characters. Looking forward to those... :biggriin:
