Klaus will sneak out of the room to check if there is a place from where he can survey the big area where he thinks the ritual will take place while also staying hidden.

Mortus looks at Julian and Heinrich for help, suddenly she is almost as nervous as the initiate.

"My friends may have been here earlier to speak to Fa.. Father Albrecht," she says, stammering for a second over the name. "It is important that we find them, and the ho.. hol.. holy father."

Klaus thinks looking down from the staircase would leave him too exposed, even though he'd have a good view. So that only leaves hiding behind the stacks of crates. He'd be found if anyone searched the room... but if they didn't, he'd be able to see everything.

Klaus will share his intel with Max.

"If someone searches the room we have to drop him.....we could also hide in the crates for a couple of hours ...lets check what is inside."

Klaus will try to open one of the crates and check if he can hide inside.

The initiate looks at Julian, then at Heinrich. Seeing Heinrich seems to make him even more anxious. "I-I-Is that blood? Oh, none of my business, I'm sure!"

He returns his attention to Mortus. "F-f-father Albrecht did meet with two people before he l-l-left... a disreputable-looking man, and a boy with ginger hair... w-w-w-were they your f-f-f-friends? The father spoke to them, then came out and prayed at the altar... then he went back and t-t-talked to them again. They left after t-t-that. Then the father left too. He s-s-said it was to do S-S-Sigmar's work. That's all I know, miss."

Max nods, and follows Klaus obediently. He's obviously decided to resolve his doubts by just letting Klaus make all the decisions for him.

Klaus pries open one of the crates with his knife. It's empty! He could hide inside it without too much discomfort.

Mortus nods.

"Thank you," she mutters and she leaves the temple. She will wait outside for Heinrich and Julian if they don't leave with her. The unease that she felt when she went into the temple will leave her as soon as she exits it. She watches the flagellants for a few seconds.

When Heinrich and Julian meet her she will shrug,

"It appears that they are already gone," she says. "Maybe to the warehouse."

Klaus will search for a crate for him and one for Max and then hide in the crates for an hour or two.......he tells Max to wait in the crate until he gets him. Klaus will count to 2000 if he can and then get back out of the crate.

Klaus discovers that some of the crates contain bottled fruit (he could eat some if he wanted), but most are empty. Max gets into his crate quietly, and nods when Klaus tells him not to get out until he's told too... Klaus hopes the boy will actually obey him this time... he could easily get them both killed if he doesn't.

Klaus gets into his own crate and waits. He can see the open area at the front of the room, as well as the door, through the gap between the lid and the body of the crate.

[wait for the others to arrive... or something else to happen in the meantime!]

Heinrich will set off towards a sewer entrance near the warehouse.

Julian leads them into the sewer , axe and hammer at the ready.

While mortus was in the temple Julian prayed to grungni.

Julian prays to Grungni, asking him to help him defeat the demon worshipers...

[Blessing? dice roll = 18. Yes!]

...for a moment, he sees an old dwarf seated on a granite throne, a tankard of beer in his hand. "Sort them out, lad," he says. Julian feels strength flow through his limbs.

[Julian is blessed: when attacking demonic entities or evil sorcerers, his attacks will cause additional damage. The blessing will last until dawn]

Julian leads Heinrich and Mortus to a manhole cover close to the docks. They open it, and then quickly descend into the sewer. They follow the main passage a short distance, before entering a minor passageway that leads to the warehouse. The passage flows on into the river, but Julian spots a concealed cover in the roof of the passage. He's able to open it, and with Heinrich's help climbs up into the room above.

He's now inside the warehouse, in a corner behind some crates. Mortus and Heinrich can follow him up.

Klaus hears the cover being opened, and can see it from the crate he's hiding in. He recognises Julian at once, of course. Max stays put inside his crate, waiting for Klaus to tell him he can get out.

Klaus will peek out of his crate....

"Pssst..........Pssssst!"

Klaus will mumble very silently "Over here."

If the others come over he explains to them his cunning plan to hide in the crates he will use his copper horn to listen what is going on outside and once the evil doers have started to do their vile ritual and are assembled he will alert the others and they can leave their hiding place and descent upon them....and strike them with Sigmars righteous fury.

They might notice that Klaus seems a bit....changed.

Julian wonders if it's possible to hide in the sewer entrance, or place any traps for the cultists.

He thinks a bear trap might be a bit conspicuous. !

Julian thinks hiding in the sewer entrance would be fine... but he wonders why the warehouse has a secret entrance to the sewers at all. Do the cultists plan to arrive that way?

He's not sure what sort of trap he could rig... it depends what he wants to achieve. Does he want to try to capture some of the cultists? Or injure them? Or prevent them leaving the warehouse?

Klaus is busy explaining his plan to the others... when the warehouse doors open!

Three men enter: one is Franz Steinhager (Julian has met him, while Klaus and Max saw him enter Teugen's house last night for the meeting), and the other two look like stevedores. Steinhager supervises as the stevedores carry a number of boxes into the room. Once all the boxes are in place, Steinhager tells the men to leave. Now alone (or so he thinks) Steinhager opens one of the boxes and removes several long copper arcs. He begins to arrange these on the floor, at which point it becomes clear what they are: they make up the copper circle from the sewer temple. Next, he pours salt into geometric patterns within the circle, and sets five silver candlesticks (each with a black candle) around it. The configuration is the same as in the sewer temple.

Once he's finished, he leaves the warehouse, closing the doors behind him.

When Heinrich gets his bow up Klaus puts a hand on his shoulder...

"Heinrich don´t we have to wait for the whole cult to assemble, there will be allies outside joining the fight but we have to wait. Also Max has a blessed arrow that hopefully will strike Teugen down." He whispers barely audible to Heinrich , only the sharp senses of the bounty hunter allow him to hear it.

"We can hide in these crates until the ritual starts when they are on it and deep in concentration we strike."

Sweat is trickling down Klaus´s face as he states this.

Heinrich lowers his bow.
"Yes," he mutters to himself unhappily, "Let us wait until the OTHER wizard, all of their guards, the disappearing shapechanging guy, and whatever they plan to summon are here so we can face them all at once, rather than fight them piecemeal as they come."

"Only the inner circle members will be here the guards will stay outside as they don´t know that they are demonologists, also our "friends" will take of them.....as soon as they are deep in concentration we strike. As stated Max will take out Teugen Heinrich you and Julian should take out Steinhager, Mortus and I will strike who ever else might be left with a fighting will ....most likely the cousin of Teugen. I have another stink bomb I will drop in their midst as the signal I hope the others will realize the green smoke as our signal."

Stating this short battle plan Klaus will retreat into his crate and listen to what is going on outside with his copper horn.

"If we fight him they wont come. We know the plan is Teugen's, we know the others are dispensable, we know they own the town. We need evidence and we need Teugen here. Let me set traps and we can all strike together. Don't forget the reward Heinrich!"
