Ok two Slann mages and the giant as an engine of the gods

I guess I will use these thingys here as the podium for my mages

Life mages goes on this one here

http://www.battlefield-berlin.de/shop/index.php?cat=WG1530&product=ARCSLG010

Death mage will go up here

http://www.battlefield-berlin.de/shop/index.php?cat=WG1530&product=ARCSLG003

There is no stretch I have it covered with the background fluff only thing I really dislike about lizardmen is their lowly Initiative of 1 making the purple sun more dangerous for me than for my enemies.

I have two rules questions, first as the slann is treated as large target for his line of sight, is he also granting the 18 " general bonus?

The other question as the curse head (or whatever the item is named in english, choose a character and double all wounds this model causes against him) even works with that inflict your own miscast on your enemy, is this working with spells too? Is this working with that scroll that deals wounds on 5+?

nope not joking

background is a user on this forum that is a jewish panda. One of his campaign alter egos is a panda that is possessed by a demon that is able to throw fireballs and breath fire and likes to burn things...those pandas will be an homage to him.

You should have used some sort of squid instead.

I leave the squids for the professional power gamers...but a giant squid might be an interesting Stegadon or I go boring elephants that would fit to the greek style (well very late past Alexander Selucuid style).

I try to glue the immortal greek hoplites...they look ..hmmm tiny if they stand beside warhammer miniatures because they are not heroic but I guess they will be fine as long as I don´t mix the units.

The 25 mm bases work fantastic.

The next w-e campaign should be about killing pandas, I think.

Also, make sure you bring these to the eurobash!

To be fair a massive amount of pandas were massacred for their pelts in the magic item list. 4+ ward and 2+ vs flaming? Awesome yet likely to make them extinct!
Curse you and your ability to stay within the lines.

Also panda sexual organs can be made into medicine. So they need to die for the good of all.

I like this army because it is weird.

ok here some more pictures to keep you guys interested in this therad

Here we have a very nice terrain piece i was gifted with from Santa Weib and the Immortal Hoplites...I made them without shields so I could try to paint them (in the distant future of the 40th millenia).

also notice the 25 mm bases that makes it possible to field 20 mm guys on 25 mm bases...right now I am torturing my brain how I can magnetize them best.

and here a comparison picture of the model I will use as my old blood

and the group picture of the old blood the immortal champion and a converted high elf spear

also a couple of the converted elves and the model I will use as my saurus hero choice or Gor Rok

I can believe that this guy makes my Hoplites stubborn

on Athens:
Well, if you want some interesting infos about army uniforms etc.

The forums for this http://www.europabarbarorum.com/ and http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?235-Europa-Barbarorum-II might help.

True, it discusses mostly hellenistic armies (-> Alexander the Great and after) but it may be useful by comparison.

On the other side you might use one of (when not) the most well-known and renowned encyclopedia about ancient history in existence, and it's in german ;-): the Pauly-Wissow, Realencyclopädie der classischen Altertumswissenschaft

All university-libraries of history have almost certainly one and probably a large number of larger municipal libraries too.

There you might find a lot of infos for details etc.

On the army: well, what can I say, that I like it?  Through I wonder if you can make an interlocking shield formation work with the models.

This army is developing in the right direction, how can you not love the cuddly pandas and the guardian angel. :::cheers:::

The metal general guy looks like a giant next to the normal guys!

But perhaps he is a demigod.

He does! And I think it is quite fitting, considering how tall e.g. Ajax was supposed to be.

Great stuff Fandir, and good catch with that guardian angel model.

I -really- like angelic figures. However, as bad guys. As this is Fandir, they will of course be bad guys.

If I could I would make an army based on angels.
I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

I like how you specifically state that his campaign alter-ego breathes fire, but that he literally is a panda in real life.

Those Immortal figures really do look thin - even compared to other historicals. (Maybe the larger bases are tricking my eyes?) They seem nicely sculpted, though. At some point I'd like to try painting some up.

I don't get it, this is the stranges army I have ever seen :D

A ancient greek style with high elves played as lizzards and pandas... this is so awesome^^
Every new post is a new surprise :D

But some "mystical" creatures would be nice too, maybe Pegasus riders as your Teradons? Or some Satyr for some units ors something :D

And if you go with an ancient theme you need Korhil, he is the elvish Herakles, a must have :)
