I still cant beat it on  easy.

also on the subject of JRPGs from earlier: Does Pokemans count as a JRPG?

Want some tips?

And yes.
sure, but I generally play it when I am just killing time waiting for something to update.\

I guess pokeman red is the only JRPG I like.

How do you usually die in FTL? What systems do you upgrade first? Do you ignore shields and engines in favor of weapons? Do you use defense drones and/or cloak? How often do you pause? Do you use autofire (you shouldn't)?

Do you have time to watch a tutorial video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFxRHNrGY_U

Dwarfs must have a really short gestation period. Either that or my character has been wandering around on the surface for a lot longer than I thought.

I finally killed dragon-Flemeth! I still need to kill the other dragon though (the one near the shrine of someone's ashes). Is it harder to kill than Flemeth?

Oh, this is about dragon age again, by the way.

Yes, the one near Andraste's ashes is harder to kill than Flemeth, partly because it flies around and you have to chase it. Use roughly the same strategies (ranged attacks, Wynne in the party for healies, someone designated to soak up damage, flame resistance). It will be more difficult to manage your party and keep track of all of their movements, but be patient with it, pause often, and stay calm and you should be okay.

Crap! I mean, congrats!

I got the first two stages of that damn quest so often, and yet... stage 3 keeps eluding me.

Also, I've reinstalled Blood Bowl and having fun with it again. Still playing around with different teams. I've always liked the versatility of the humans, but I'm also looking at Chaos and Orks...

How rubbish is dragon age 2?

I've heard it's quite bad, but is it so bad it's not worth playing at all? I think you can't play a dwarf, which sounds like a major strike against it.

I really liked dragon age 2.  Sure the dungeons are a little repetitive but the companions were good, the story was pretty good, the gameplay was very very good.  Origins had a better story but the gameplay and dialogue (personal preference I didn't think the old english fit at all well with the game) in origins is pathetic compared to dragon age 2.

Nothing on BG1/BG2.

The reviews I saw said that the maps were reused over and over, and the gameplay was a lot worse (something about waves of enemies dropping in from nowhere during fights). Also it said the storyline was too rail-roaded and forced bad decisions on the player.

Is that inaccurate then?

It's not inaccurate, but maybe a bit overblown. It depends on your opinion really. I really liked the game, as did Aldaris (and Athiuen), but it seems literally everyone else hated it. So who knows.

Going by Metacritic the first game scored in the higher 80's on the different systems, the second game lower 80's. Going by that I'd say I would probably still find it enjoyable myself.

Is ME3 multiplayer on the 360 any good?  Watching TB play the beta from a year ago and it looks fun.  Trying to figure out if its worth getting xbox live gold to play it or not.  Rather get it on PC but I already have ME1-3 on the xbox.

Does anyone else find total war games get too annoying to play once the armies get to a certain size?

Quote
Building you economy to support the army you have has always been a way more exciting and interesting part of the game to me.

Ha, indeed. I pretty much only like that part.

After a time the battles are pointless cause you end up crushing another mediocre army. I played alot of battles in Napoleon but not really Medieval 2. Just the ones I had to win.

Dragon Age 2 was shit and you'd hate it. If I hated it then you probably will too.

I played a bit of multiplayer ME3 but it;s quite pointless and repeative.

On a lighter note, Pokemon is probably a JRPG - however if it hasn't changed since I was a kid it's probably one of the best designed games made. Pokemon red may have been about animal cruelty but it was well designed. (Though I couldn't find a way past the thirsty guard for ageees)
Curse you and your ability to stay within the lines.

I want to like Total war...I really do therefore I play it again ...and again. I like the graphics, and the tiny details, and how they put lots of background into it......but if I am honest...it bores me rather fast.

Multiplayer battles are boring because it is usually about cheesyness who wins mortar spam and similir bollocks and one guy sitting and waiting and exploiting the foolish attack of the enemy who gets bored.

Single player campaigns are boring and feel like...work....you have to grind through limitless enemy hordes of bad controlled masses of computer stacks that are by no possible means supported by the taxes of the tiny countries who spawned them.

I want to love total war games...but I think they suck.

I am also not sure I like dota 2...it feels like work too.

But it was amusing animal cruelty!
