Are they adding free content to Destiny grutch?

Salvage missions, iron banner, queens wrath etc?

If so that's awesome, negates the small world criticism and makes me more open to buying dlc

I do not know what Bungie plans for the future.  I left the company in February this year to work at Neversoft and we have recently been rolled into Infinity Ward where I'm currently employed.  I can't say what I'm working on but I'll tell you guys soon enough!

On Destiny I worked in visual effects mainly on vehicular effects like thrusters, explosions and damage, spidertank, Cabal Vehicles and a lot of dropships  as well as a few of the weird monsters like the hive banshee (are they still calling it a banshee?)  It's the rotating orb like creature that hovers around and blasts at you.  It also chases you with it's dying remnants after you kill it.

Bungie has massive plans for Destiny,  I can't really divulge but you will enjoy what they offer as they go.  I only hope they can keep people interested as they continue to update it with more features and content.   Lots of the criticism I have seen I completely agree with and have even voiced myself as an employee.  The problem with productions this massive and expensive is that there's just a reality of money and time and what can be produced in that capsule.  There are few individuals and teams that can pull off a production of this magnitude successfully, and while I don't think their launch was perfect, it has gone pretty smooth compared to other big productions.

I agree on the story criticisms by the way,  I was never happy with it from the day I walked in and read the documents.  That sort of stuff is out of my hands,  all I do is make fire smoke and magic for my boss,  he's probably not too interested in my storytelling advice.

Shrieker, I think it's called now. Banshee would be better.

The visuals are gorgeous, that's some very fine work Grutch.

Servitor are evil!

I am really liking the game!  I can see it running out of steam by 50 hours but so hat!  It is great!

No you can blame the exceptional game designer Bill Gross for that nastiness.  I just made it look pretty.

Anyone playing ArcheAge? What do you think of f2p?

My computer can barely run with lowest setting, but I may give it a try.

I am enjoying the post level 20 phase of Destiny, though I question the value of capping traditional leveling at 20.  The whole light concept is neat, and requiring specific leveling in weapons and on strikes to raise things like Vanguard is cool.  I like the idea of some people focusing on the crucible and joining FWC or Dead Orbit to get access to their special gear while others focus on the Vanguard and strike missions etc.

In the absence of my friends leveling up, I have had to befriend several youths who do strikes with me.  Desperate times and all that...

Match making strikes.  Post strike just friend them!

Last night we did the 20th level strike on venus.  I ended up carrying the load despite being the lowest level guy on the team.  It was a little frustrating since I was surprised.  One was 23rd and the other 22nd.  I was trying to level The Stranger rifle, so wasn't using my best gun and had to swap part way through because we kept getting killed by the Vex outside the ship!

By the end I had 200 something kills and the next guy had 120 or so.  I guess they were concentrating on the big guys maybe?  Or being a striker with the ability to use my grenades every 25 seconds or so gave me a leg up on the mass killings!

I too really like the game, I just wish the experience point stuff mattered more.  Maxing your level before you even finish the main story was odd.  I finished the story now.  I have to disagree with others, I actually liked the storyline.

10 hours to finish the entire Raid?

That is idiotic.  I hope that isn't the norm.

Elder Scrolls Online did it right when they set up their Raids.

Bungie said 7+, the first team to complete it took 10 hours. Cumulatively died 1600 times.

I'd imagine once people know what to do, it will take what, 4 hours?

Strikes are great fun!

I am up to 22nd level, close to 23.  Seems like it will take a long time to get the credits for some really good guns from the special shops.  The weekend trader might be a good choice for me though since I have heaps of the strange coins.

I think strange joins are definitely the way to go.

i'm almost crucible rep 1, about halfway to vanguard rep 1... need to be rep 2 to buy weapons!

Strikes are definitely good :D

I am half way to Vanguard Rep 2.

Did you join Dead Orbit of FWC?  I figured if you are a Crucible fiend that is the way to go!

Don't you gain rep in both if you are wearing the clothing item?

That would make sense!

How many strange coins do the items the weekend trader bring cost?  I can't recall!

I doubt I have enough currently. I think I have 11.
