I've been watching some online playthroughs of Dragon Age: Inquisition. Does not look fun or interesting.
I really wish they had gone with an open world system. The linear game reminds me too much of Final XIII. Ugh.
It's very good.
That said, it's not as good as Dragon Age Origins.
The crafting system makes crafted loot better than found loot and since the loot follows a diablo pattern all loot is cheapened and nothing feels special.
The quests in the areas are mostly MMO fetch/kill quests which are boring.
There are some really excellent set pieces (Assassin in Val Royeux), and of course the characters and dialogue are great (it is bioware).
I would have prefered a linear game because the side missions (as in Origins) would have felt meaningful.
Then again the quests feel more meaningful and world changing (mostly) than skyrim in which nothing ever changed.
Overall it's definitely worth playing if you've played the other games and if you like RPG's in general. It certainly has enough to hold itself up. Then again if I knew what it was like I wouldn't have payed $89 AUD for it.
Wait for it to go on sale or get it from G2A.
