Best (and cheapest) 10mm models
« on: September 16, 2015, 07:16:36 PM »
I recently became interesting in modelling with 10mm models, as used for pieces for board games.  I was especially thinking this for Fantasy's Flight's Game of Thrones board game.  So I'm looking for the most economical way to get about 50 knights and 180 foot soldiers.

Also, is there a place I could find very small medieval ships?

Thanks for your help!

There are gurus here who will help you with the 10mm models.

Also, is there a place I could find very small medieval ships?

Magister Militum has some. Scroll down, check your preferred period and scale on the left column, and you'll get lots of choices. This is also one of the companies producing 10mm soldiers.

They cost something, and don't seem to have product pictures, though. I'm reasonably satisfied with a couple of smaller examples I bought. Still, the cheapest little ships probably come from the GW Dreadfleet auxiliaries. Look for them in ebay or a similar service. They're nice for their size and price.

Thank you both for you help!

Magister Militum showed me some great options, but you are right, pictures would be nice.

I found Pendraken Miniatures also, they seem to have some good soldiers options at pretty good prices.  I think I will buy a few from them and see how they turn out.

Keep in mind that Tiberius hasn't been active here since 2016, so perhaps a reply, yet perhaps not.
