I think we should all go to Mr. Chumley's house

Me too. Bring the slippers.
One of the big wigs... once told them "If a household doesn't have an income of $70,000, we don't consider them a GW target customer."

Years ago I knew a guy who worked for an industrial plastics company, and ran all their prototyping projects. Somewhere I have some stuff he made me using a very early 3D printer, the awesome type which used lasers and liquid resin. The company was so paranoid that he couldn't even confirm that he did work on GW projects (he did) or for Todd McFarlane (he also did), let alone tell me what those projects were. I used to get a lot of emails saying, "OMG you would love this!" and it was hard to tell who was most frustrated by it!

It occurs to me that I could now say, "I have prototypes of all the original Ogre Kingdoms models!" or " in my loft I have all the alien races that were rejected when they chose to make Tau!" and you might believe me. Cos, legal reasons mean I can't show you!

Meanwhile, there is something very Monty Python about that villager... also, will my standard bearer be appearing in your Knights unit Mr CW? I was very excited when your name appeared on my eBay screen!

Those Rapid Protoyping Machines were using a method called SLA, Steriolythographic method,

I once wrote a long report about them in 1999

At the massive expense of how your house looks.
Also not for the power only for the grant payout!

Mine are on the garage roof at the back , so you cant see them from the front.

Also i'm trying to offset all my eleccy annually,

I'm not so fussed about making money just having zero overall eleccy payments annually

Good idea wish more people would do this! Have you seen the water heaters for the roof essentially some black pipes to catch the heat, low tech!

Yep I have but I have a new combi boiler, which doesn't work with solar water pipe heating I seem to recall being told.

I went for a 4 kW PV system

You need a water storage tank for the water heating panels, which with a combi you don't have.

4kw is the standard 16 panel system domestic system. Good pay back from the gov grant over the next 20 years.

Regarding your post "15 knights down.."

I made this comment on your blog a few years ago:

"You´re insane.  :-o

In a good way.

I like you."

It still holds true to this day...

I would paint them red and yellow with some white tossed in for the odd details.  For shields, you should use some shields from sword and buckler men, like the shields here from foundry:

Only I don't think Foundry sells those shields separately.  The assault group has some though: http://www.theassaultgroup.co.uk/index.php?prod=1034

Love the Estalian Swordsmen. However it also makes me feel really depressed as well, such great miniatures and fluff and what do we get now, crappy fluff and 40k looking Skaven Stormfiends.

Anyway looking forward to seeing these all painted up  :::cheers:::
