War Altar WiP
« on: September 29, 2008, 06:22:30 PM »
I quite liked the original war altar model for some things but it was quite right so I used the griffon and such but changed the chassis for the one for the screaming bell. I wanted something different but not too large, some of the huge ones are really nice but not my thing, plus I wanted to make sure it fits the chariot base. The lectern is just a piece of balsa wood with flaggie accessories and the whole thing is finished with a few mordheim bits. Not sure what to do for the horses, I don't really want to use the GW barded horses but I can't seem to find any other decent ones around.

It was an ambush. Worse of all it was an ambush before lunch.

I had often thought about the old skaven screaming bell, but I can't bring myself to buy a skaven model.

Looks good.

Hey, great idea! That's an idea for my own model, the screaming bell base.

It sure looks stunning too!
