Where have you been? Have you not been keeping up with End Times at all? and the fluff changes that have come with it?
Anyway as for the Empire, Dwarfs and Bretonnians merging, that is pure Speculation or wishlisting. There are no rumours suggesting that.
Rumours are saying the End Times will result in the destruction of the world and the surivors end up in bubbles of reality in the warp.
Rumours are saying that there will be 6 factions in the next edition (Though these will be sort of new factions)
Rumours are saying that old armies(ie 8th ed) will be still playable.
Rumours are saying that humans are getting some kind of 'powered' super humans equivalent to chaos warriors - which people have taken to mean fantasy space marines. Emperor Karl-Franz ascended (incarnate of heavens) is supposedly the prototype.
Rumours are saying 9th (or 2.0 1st depeniding on how the rumours are going) will be a round base skirmish game rather than a rank and fle square base battle game.
Rumours are saying all sort of stuff that is being misinterpreted or has wild speculation.
It's really unclear what the future holds for warhammer.
For certain it's been the lesser system for quite some time, some people have said it had reached the point it wasn't covering it's own costs, so it needed to change to save it. The End Times is certainly heading towards a radical change, and it's a good bet that the fluff will be quite different. Whether the game system changes coming are as radical is uncertain.
I think the idea of Empire, Bretonnians and Dwarfs combining probably comes from the "6 factions" rumour, which I think is probably 6 starting factions, or even 6 new factions. But given that by the end of End Time Thanquol, Bretonnia is supposedly destroyed by Skaven, the Dwarfs pretty much only have a small army of slayers left, and the Empire has lost all of it's major cities. There isn't a lot left to combine. Since the start of The End Times, because the Tomb Kings and Vampire Counts factions were combined in an Undead Legions list (I shoudl say re-combined, as back in 4th edition it was just an Undead army), people have been talking about EVERY army getting combined with another one, and the 6 factions rumour has just chucked petrol on that barbeque of a rumour.
So. There isn't any substance to Empire, Bretonnia and Dwarfs combining, there are hints for and against it in the End Times.
The Warhammer World and the game are changing, but nobody really knows where it's going, and it's causing a lot of concerrn for the Warhammer community.
