@Xath:

You feel like you have returnd to a time you would rather forget entirely. Your ears pound and you feel yourself shaking slightly. For the first time in a long time, you actullay feel a little frightened. How many more bombs are out there? How many men do they have? All questions you have asked many times before when you were in the Guard.

@DK:

Katie's Tech Use roll: 26 pass

Sometimes you remember why you have a love hate relationship with your job. And looking at the Auspices you can't help but feel some what useless. Though the devices are turning up nothing, you can help but feel you be down there with them. You would have been in the old day...

You gently grip Katies shoulder. It's frustrating being old.

Icarus stumbles, muttering to himself, trying to get a grip. His hand is shaking, the bolt pistol clutched tightly in it, in danger of an early discharge.

[OOP: I'll try to get a grip on myself.]

Desmond puts a hand on Bane's shoulder to help steady him, but he's careful the massive man wont turn on him in his... issue. Still holding his gun at the ready he scans the hallway.

"Come on comrade! We're still in this fight!" He say's to Bane before turning to the others. "Form up men! Lets stay together here."

@Everyone:

The House Troopers are still munb from the blast and don't hear their Seneschal's words, nor dose Bane, to wraped up in his own bad memories.

***

@Gankom:

Petrus breaks the silence

"Well Phobis must have heard that" he remtaks "Desmond I think perhaps with one dead and others fled perhaps we should investigate the room here?" He says pointing at the now bloody entry way. You notice that he seems unaffected by all this. "While catching him is paramount, running in to more of Phobis' traps is not idea."

Petrus scratches his stubbled chin

"Side which I think we are going to need bigger guns"

Your mind drifts back to the armout hulks and you cant help but agree.

"Right, we shall consolidate, then move on" wheezes Bane, as he shruggs of Desmond's hand. "Follow me" he adresses his men, as he gathers his bearings and enters the, previously boob-trapped room, pistol in one hand and sabre in the other. "Keep it tight and check your corners" he barks to his team.

Desmond nods to Petrus. "Agreed. Keep your eyes out for more traps troops. Tripwires and the like. We don't want any more deaths."

@Everyone:

Much to your surprise the samall room is bigger that you expected. Though it still is only 15x15 square.

Though in reality there is only ten feet avaliable as a larget cabinet occupies the far corner. A small cot in the other. Thpigh dirty you can't help but think that it's rather hard to keep clean as Phobis keeps the room tidy. Everything is neatly stacked and out of the way.

@Everyone:

Still stunned by the blast you don't see much. A chest sits against the far wall, a small portable writing desk and stool sit next to it.
across from it is a cot. upon it sits a mask.

"Desmond, check out the chest. You there" - Bane barks towards one of the Armsmen - "Go and check that mask. Carefully". Icarus scans the room for any potential hostiles.

Desmond just nods and moves carefully towards the chest. He likewise carefully examines the whole thing, especially for traps, before opening it to investigate the contents.

An 84 for the house trooper and an 81 for Desmond! ::heretic::

@Gankom

You reach the chest and start looking it over and find the latch...

@Everyone:

The House trooper holds up the mask "Take a look at this..."

@ Gankom:

Before the hose trooper can finish you hear a sprang and suddenly fall! Looking at your leg you see a crossbow bolt plundged right up to the fletching in you left knee cap!

Gankon you are now immobilized and you take another 5 points of damage. You are lucky I rolled so low it was a d6 plus a d8!

"Take cover!" - roars Bane, as he plunges towards Gankom and covers him with his body. "Contact! Check your targets!".

@Xath:

Now that you are looking about you see a small hole in the chest right about where Desmond's knee would have been.

"Bugger." Desmond swears as he topples over. "This is not turning out to be a good day."

Once things stop hurting him he'll take a look at himself and see what he can do about bleeding less.

"Desmond, keep your head down" barks Icarus, as he trains his pistol on the chest and fires three bolts towards it. Just in case.

@Xath:

You pepper the wall with bolt rounds...

@Everyone:

When things calm down, you all look at the chest. It seems like this Phobis really dosen't like people spying on him.

Petrus boldy walks up and opens the chest!

Nothing happens...

He rummages about the chest and stops short.

"Well this ain't good" Petrus holds up a simple lapel pin. It is in the shape of a shield, upon which, it a crest. That of a pair of crossed las rifles over a scales with laurels.

The symbol of The Administratum Oeconomica Imperialis.

"This you explains how they found you so quickly once you arived on Footfall" Petrus remaks

"Bastards have their grubby, little fingers in all manner of rat-pies" grumbles Bane, while coming to the asistance of Desmond. "Ricker, these guys are affiliated with the Administratum Oeconomica Imperialis! This is getting serious. Do you see anything on a ship-wide scan? We're walking into more and more traps at every moment" Icarus spurts, frustratedly.

Bechensale turns to Ricker "Did he just ask for . . . ?" she gawped.

"Hmm-hum," affirms Ricker.

"Does he know how big this ship is? What it is? Does he know he is in the Void, Will?"

Ricker shrugs and waved his fingers vaguely. "Do what you can, Katie."

@DK:

Tech use role for Katie-54 fail, Tech use role for Ricker-68 fail

Neither of you get anything on the ship scans

"Will" Hasarian starts "Would you kindly send a message to Icarus that I think it's time they come back. With the AOI on board we need to form a battle strategy"
