Mounted Warrior Priest - now painted!

Hi All,

I'm not a great modeller and this is my first real attempt at using modelling putty. Here's my converted WP which is mainly built from parts from the Knights & 6th edition state troops. The head is from Blood Bowl Boris I think from Heresy minatures. The Cloak is from the new General set and the hood is an upturned collar from the Wizard set...

This is still work in progress as I need to tidy up the putty now it's hardened a bit, and might put some stirrups on although this might be a bit too fiddly for me. I also need to obtain a suitable shield to either sling behind the rider or position on the arm holding the book.

Please could you let me know of any comments you have?

I really like the conversion and the combination of parts is nice! I can't really make out the head very well though, so will withhold judgment on that one. A shield might be cool on his (left) hip as well.

Apologies, this is due to my bad camera work - the head is a bit ugly and I'm hoping it'll suit the priest well.

I'll update once I've got some painting done!

Really like that. The feeling of movement in the model is great, bring his righteous judgement to the unfaithful.

Were did the cloak come from? Also is that a part from the bretonian M@A sprue around his neck.

Looking forward to seeing him painted.

The cloak is from the plastic empire General set (although the hood is actually one of the collars from the plastic wizard set)

I think the neck guard was from the General set too...

Looks like the new outrider neck piece to me.

He looks pretty kool but the camera man must've been running away from him while taking the photo eh...

Nice work all around.  I'm debating whether its worth the time to steal your idea of adding greenstuffed length to the robes to the WP that I'm currently kitbashing.

Hi Queek - Go for it!

I'm almost a complete GS novice so this was quite adventurous for me - it was really easy to follow the existing contours of the robe - once I had the main shape I left it to harden then starting defining the edges with a small file. I'm sure you'd have no troubles at all with this looking at your greenstuff work

Little red riding hood is back and boy is she pissed!! Excellent work my friend, really nice free hand on the shield and the white is amazing. Keep up the good work

Spiky, its official.  I swooped your extend-a-robe idea, and turned out quite nice.  As long as he still fits on the horse, life will be good.   :smile2:
