Hi everybody!
This is my first post ever on any kind of forum, so this is all very new and unexplored ground for me, but anyway..here I go.
I have been involved in the hobby for almost ten years, during witch i have never managed to paint upp to more then one unit for an army. Something else new and exiting always came up to spoil my planes for the curent army I was building. But now this i all going to change.
Here are the first (in diffrerent stages of completion) miniatures in my Averland army.
Thanx

Those look amazingly good!
Especially the banner.
-
Amazing!!! :icon_eek: :icon_eek: :icon_eek:
Wonderful conversion and a perfect paintjob. Congratulations.
-
That bsb is incredible great!
-
Amazing good conversion and very good paintjob. I only say Sol Invictus!!! :eusa_clap:
-
welcome, excellent painting and conversion work, hope to see more of your stuff. steveb
-
If that banner is freehand (and it looks to be) it is impressive. Most impressive to me though is that halflings skin tones, very nice! Look forward to seeing more!
-
WOW
What can I say, the BSB is just made of pure awesome.
The General conversion is equally good and may well redefine the word "brilliant" if it gets as good a paint job as the BSB and Halfling.
and man, the mootfolk are getting some love at the moment arent they :::cheers:::
thanks for posting and making me feel ashamed of my own stuff ;) :icon_lol: :::cheers:::
-
that banner is very good.
Looking forward to seeing the general painted!
-
Wonderful banner, and I love the hobbit. Keep pics coming!
-
Thank you all for your kind words of encuragement!

Will try to get my warriorpriest done and have him up for you to behold (hopefully with better light).
Thank you all again
-
WOW! I HAVE NO WORDS!!!
Just perfect.
-
This stuff is incredible and puts the heavy metal team to shame!
-
Keep going. This is going to be a very popular blog. 8-)
That halfling is even better than the battle standard... just the level of painting... but I know everything you put up is going to be amazing.
-
I especially like the unit champion (so this is no bsb....it is a regular regimental standard?)
anyhow the champion has a .....
"bring it on bitch!" air about him.
-
signing in to your blog.
Welcome to the forum.
Hoping to see your army grow over the next year or so...
About the lighting : Use at least two and preferably 3 desklights (top,L,R), a nice background and no flash.
-
Correct, that's the sb (yes its freehand), not the bsb...hes yet to show his face.
The guy on horseback is probably the first model for my knights...a bit of conversionwork there sciens the current GW knights are so lovely
-
Hey guys!
We found someone who bought (at least one) box of goldswords!
-
Hey guys!
We found someone who bought (at least one) box of goldswords!
So ?
I bought 2. At 18 € each (don't ask).
-
how?
-
I said don't ask. Jeeeezzz....
Source is dry anyway.
-
Really good, I will be watching this thread and stealing ideas shamelessly :icon_twisted:
-
The new greatswords are very nice. I've been loving putting them together and painting them. If you get them as part of the brigade too, it doens't hurt so much .
-
Yetagain thank you for the positive feedback!
And Lord Soth for the photo advice, I do think these ones look better!
Whitout futher ado, my warriorpriest (who is yet to receive a name):(http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af38/balkanbob/DSC02549.jpg)(http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af38/balkanbob/DSC02550.jpg)(http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af38/balkanbob/DSC02551.jpg)
A simple headswap from with a head from the greatsword plastics and change of hammer with the new one taken from the new captain of the empire pointing a pistol!
-
Last post of the day: another shot of the wp (just starting to learn the cam)

Awesome work, I can't beleive how good your banner is. I love the cross on the hat and the crosshatching on the scabard. :::cheers::: :eusa_clap:
-
Managed to finish the Knights horse...first time try to do a spotted horse! Anyway I'm kinda pleased with the result.
Daylight+ tree desklights+ plus a piece off paper over the flashlight= decent photos
Cheers!
-
Great stuff! so you continue to put us all to shame?
:::cheers:::
-
Wonderful! Great job on the convertions as well as on the paintjob! Please keep us updated with pics of your further progress. :icon_biggrin:
-
Nothing more to say then what has already been said before:
AWESOME!
I'm especially liking the horse. The muzzle and eye add a tremendous amount of realism/drama to it.
Not a big fan of the large plume on the knight, but his axe looks great!
Reminds me of that John Blanche drawing (not the Knight Panther - the black and white with the emperor on the background)
Just for the record: could you give an idea about the (average) time you spend on a model?
-
Incredible paintjob and conversions! Which I will shameless copy;-). But not at this incredible standard!
-
Wow...your painting is perhaps a bit TOO good. Notify the wtich hunters!!! ::heretic::
-

-
Just fantastic! As if you didn't already know that... :icon_wink:
Is the knight based on the oop DoW/Empire general originally coming with a lance or?
/Rob

:eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap:
well done! Awesome!

Yeah, the torso and the armour on his thighs...did a bit of greenwork and added the lower legs from the plastic general box. The left arm is from an old pointing handgunner champion, plus details i greenstuff.Nothing more to say then what has already been said before:

A rank and file spearman will probably take me about an hoer to do, characters of course will take longer..but on this empire project I've managed to speed up my painting a lot, before id spent maybe to much time on a model. My biggest problem is having no time to paint sciens I work so much (not the last few days because I've been sick!). Think I will have to remedy that if I'm to finish an army (1000pts)before summer...

Well I hope that you manage to get stuff painted ....oh boy how I am tempted to wish that you get sick once in a while (nothing serious just a cold ). :::cheers:::
Great stuff!
-
Absolutely outstanding, love ALL the details, especially the contrast between moon and sun. Go Drunken Halfling, go!!! ;)
-
Great work.
I especially like the little "twirls" on the armour...
(and oh so fast...)
-
:eusa_clap: good work! will you put a shield on the left hand?
-
Your models look great! It inspires me to go painting myself :smile2:
-
OUTSTANDING!
Standard is just great and your knight is coming on ery well.
More for Averland, HUZZAH!

must get more done this evening...cheers
-
Getting better an better.
Oh and please use that halfling picture from you first thread as your avatar
-
Very nice paint jobs and conversions. Really like the little details of the striped trousers or checkered helmet. Also that simple conversion of the unit champion is good. Can't wait to see what the knight looks like.
-
SUPERB! :::cheers:::
Your painting ability is stunning, though I must ask,
How do you paint your faces/skin? :biggriin:
-
Can't really add anything to what's already said. I just hope you will keep posting pics.
Oh, and perhaps give us some hints on your painting recipe of yellow, skin, horses armor and all the rest. :-D
:::cheers:::
fbjorn
-
You sir, are an amazing painter. I particularily like the way you do skin/faces. Very, very impressive.

Thank you All yetagain! You encourage me to get stuff done!

OK, so your asking me to part whit my painstakingly wroth secrets... :closed-eyes:
why not. but I cant reveal them all at once, so, I will start with the yellow..
Its a very easy and effective way: first apply a even coat of Iyanden Darksun, followed by a shade of water-down Dark Flesh. Just shade this into the recesses ore create your own folding in the cloth. The last stage is simply highlighting with Bleached Bone...TADA! :smile2:
Moore secrets will be reviled i due time.
Cheers

I was recently thinking about returning to the hobby after a long hiatus.
Now I ask myself: why bother? :icon_confused:
Great work. Much more can't be said.
-
On the BSB's banner, I liked how the shading matched the shading on his clothing. :icon_cool:
The halfling's face tones are excellent! :icon_biggrin:
Love the purple and green colors mixed with the Averland scheme! :eusa_clap:
And the black, white, and yellow stripe pattern is outstanding. :::cheers:::
-
It's good to see some (very) high quality stuff in this forum again - a great inspiration!

Because nobody gets to this level from day 1. If you want, I'll help you find a painting method to suit your skills.

This will be entered in the Golden Deamon right?
-
I'm curious as to how you did the nose/mouth of the horse. It's fantastic, and one of the most realistic horses I've seen!
At a guess I'd say it's highlighted up, with a watered down red wash over.
I love your painting! There's so much detail, and the free hand work is incredible. Stupidly neat too!
I can't wait to see more!
-
When I see this, I have a feeling I should crush all my models with some (war)hammer....
Great work. Very inspirating. Wish I could paint as good as you some day....
-
That is easily a golden daemon winner hands down, fantastic job its absolutely amazing.
-
Wonderful!
What colour are you going to paint the cloak, the purple colour?
-
Holy c*rp!
Very good work I say.
I love the banner, so beautiful.
-
Mate, seriously, learn to paint. The rest of us are making you look bad.
Um.
Hang on.
That's not right, is it?
Seriously, that's beautiful stuff - your freehand work, and the smoothness of your painting, is beautiful. Also, you've a good eye for colour selection.
My only problem with it is that I had decided, definitely and absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, that I was going to do an Ostland army.
Maybe I'm going to do Averland though.
Have a beer :::cheers:::

You are too kind, as usual.
And Drunken Halfling is, as usual, ridiculously good ^_^
-
I really like your knight conversion, and your freehand on the banner is excellent.
-
Do this world a favor, and PLEASE post a painting tutorial (for ANYTHING!)
On a serious note, your painting skills are stunning, and tutorials would
boost both your popularity and.... *ahem* your karma...
Cheers!

-
Your painting is astonishing, I fully agree with everything that has been said. Definitely like the colour selection and how smooth your colours look. On top of this you are pulling of some very fine conversions! In all honesty, I can see why you never were able to finish an army if its going to be of this quality, although seeing how fast you churned these out, that goal seems less hard to reach!
Here is hoping you will keep us inspired with amazing models. Keep it up!!
-
Good show, truly good show! Can't wait to see more, bro!
-
Magnificent.
What really makes these work is the dark and brooding feeling they have. The colors are pretty and bright, but there's an earthiness to these that really suits the grim warhammer world.
The halfling is a great example of what can be done when an amazing painter gets his hands on a really great sculpt. The model is goofy, but the paint job is so "serious", that the halfling comes off looking dangerous.
I think you've got some golden demon worthy skills, my friend.
-
Thank you all for the feedback! :smile2:
Anyway, manage to Finnish the knight (think it turned out pretty nice), hope you like it:

I'm planing to do a tutorial om how to paint a spearman in the colours of Averland (of course, what else) as soon as I get some spare time! watch this post in the future to come...
-
Congratulations!! your work is amazing :eusa_clap:, I'm waiting for your tutorial. Only a question...what represent the shield? day and night? :icon_confused:
-
Firstly, wow.
Second, could you give a run down of which parts you used for your general?
-
:Ohmy:very nice

C'mon man, I don't need any more baits to get back to Empire.
I love your weathered facial looks of your minis.
-
Outstanding! Excellent conversion, perfectly painted.
-
Congratulations!! your work is amazing :eusa_clap:, I'm waiting for your tutorial. Only a question...what represent the shield? day and night? :icon_confused:
I think the second side is a half stylized "A" with a horseshoe in the backdrop. Possible?
-
Hi everybody! I'm back after a few days of no posting, but you will be happy to know that I have not been idle...
After receiving request from you for a tutorial I have decided to grant you your wish...so here comes the Drunken Halflings way of painting an Averland spearman:
First, undercoat with Chaos Black undercoat spray.
Starting with the flesh I applied a couple of thin layers of Tanned Flesh.
I then highlighted the raised parts with Tallarn Flesh.
Next I applied a shade of very watered down Mechrite Red.
A highlight of 50/50 Tallarn Flesh and Bleached Bone folowed...
and the flesh was finished by a final highlight of pure Bleached Bone
Next came the yellow parts of the clothing.
I started of with pure Iyanden Darksun
(http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af38/balkanbob/DSC02663.jpg)
A shade of Dark Flesh was applied in the foldings
(http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af38/balkanbob/DSC02665.jpg)
Then came a highlight of Darksun and B Bone
(http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af38/balkanbob/DSC02667.jpg)
Parts to be white wore painted in Astronomican Gray...Tau Sept Ochre was painted onto the beard and washed with Devlan Mud
(http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af38/balkanbob/DSC02670.jpg)
folowed buy pure Skull White on the white clothing
Next up was the metal parts.
A base of Boltgun Metal received a wash of Badab Black and highlighted by Mithril Silver
And then the batteries on my camera went low so I will have to continue after they are recharged!!
-
Is it just me or are the pictures missing?
/Rob
-
Yes they are...!!!
-
Don't know why...pretty pissed, just spend making the the last 30minutes or so..
-
I can see them... and they are awesome.
- Z
-
this is brilliant, i want to make the rest of my troops averland just so i can stick to the tutorial procedure, oh wissenlanders why oh why gray!
-
Stunning. How long would it take you to paint a model to then end-result?
:icon_biggrin:
-
(http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af38/balkanbob/DSC02673.jpg)
Next I painted all the leather parts with Calthan Brown, then given a wash of Badab Black and finally highlighted with Snakebite...The green was painted with Knarloc Green and highlighted with 50/50 Knarloc and Bleached. The spear was given a steady coat of Khmer Brown.
The red was gone with Mechrite Red, washed with Devlan Mud and highlighted with 50/50 Mechrite and Bleached. Lastly the feather was painted Warlock Purple, washed with Badab, and given a first highlight with 20/80 Bleached- Warlock, folowed by 50/50 Bleached- Warlock.
Finally the base was painted with Scorched Brown, then drybrushed with Caltan Brown. A final drybrush of Khemri Brown came on that. Static grass was then glued with PVA Glue. Lastly the edge of the base was painted in Caltan Brown.
And that's it, a very straight forward way to paint IMHO...all i really requires is a steady hand. Hope you all like, and that it helps you progress your painting!
Cheers
-
really beautiful. I'll give that flesh method a try. Those are all game works paints right?
-
Yes they are.
-
Whilst the knight (as everything else really) is top notch & amazing in its detail (both sculpting wise as well as painting wise) I feel that it needs some sort of stylized design at the bottom of the cloak. It will help to give it a more noble feel. Anyway this is just constructive criticism so feel free to ignore it completely. Once again Bravo :eusa_clap:
-
this should be sticky'd as a flesh tutorial in the brush and pallete. really nice pallete of colors, I haven't tried any of these before and I am really looking forward to it. Thanks so much for sharing your techniques, and your halfling really is tops (well....it all is!!)
Thanks again!
:eusa_clap:
-
There is a thread you can nominate threads to be placed in the workshop check the stickies
-
Reading the tutorial it all seems pretty straight forward and I'm going to have my own go attempting your style.
I think what really makes your models stand out is how well you highlight and you seem to highlight exactly where it needs to be without going over the top or being too stark. Great work - and I've only read page 4 so far!!
-
Very nice painting.
-
Very well done :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap::::cheers:::. Put it in the workshop section, please.
-
Nominate it so I don't have to come searching when we get round to that...
See the sticky in the B&P
-
Got two halflings done, one you have seen before but then the base was not finished. Got tree more to paint as I intend to use them as a archer detachment. Hope you like them!

Was actually planing to do just that, but at the time I just got so sick of the model so that will be done in the future..but thank you for reminding me!

The spearmen unit (the Purple Feathers)is steadily growing...seventeen done, thirteen to goo. Always thought that big block of infantry is the way too go (at least esthetically).
Here are the ones that are finished:

-
could you walk us through the 5 o'clock shadow?
just a wash of Codex Gray. You can aplye some devlan mud into it too.
-
Amazing amount of detail not only for rank&file warriors, i have to say.
I´ll keep an eye on this project.
-
The miniatures look amazing, but you need to make better pictures. Keep up the great work. :eusa_clap:
-
Might I suggest using natural light, say, from a window? Indirect may be better than direct sunlight, but regardless, my best photos are always with natural light...

-
Been folowing this thread for about 2 weeks or so, your painting skill is fantastic and the amount of detail you have put into your basic troops is impressive.
-
your flesh tut is great
it´s a pity,I´ve almost finished my empire force
-
My god this army is Fantastic! Keep up the great work!
-
Impressive !!!
:eusa_clap:
That bannerbearer on your first post, he looks a bit like older Freddie Mercury.
And a great tutorial, thanx.

I love everything you've posted so far. Definitely inspiration for my future Averland force. :eusa_clap:
-
Amazing. Could U take some more (detail) pics? Thanks 4 sharing...

Mainly because the pay is shit..

You are all to kind
(very) early wip on my second knight...still a lot of g-stuff work to be done. its gonna take me forever to finish this unit (six knights), imagine it will be finished just in time for GW to release the new ones!

Wow, I love that conversion. Very simple, but great looking. Quick question, that head is from the pistoliers set, correct?
-
I was recently thinking about returning to the hobby after a long hiatus.
Now I ask myself: why bother? :icon_confused:
Great work. Much more can't be said.
Because nobody gets to this level from day 1. If you want, I'll help you find a painting method to suit your skills.
What a wonderful offer Soth. :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

TDH ... Thanks for providing the tutorial.
I really like the detail you put into your models. The painting is fanatastic, but the details make it look even better.
And by the way, your interpretation of the pants on the spearman tutorial was quite impressive.

Some g-stuff progress. Also decided to reposition the right arm to give him a more nonchalant appearance.

You havn't thought of repositioning the hind-legs of the horse so that it is "standing up"? Instead of being on it's way to sitting down... :smile2:
Great stuff!

Like the simple pose of your conversion, especially the "at ease" look. Very good sculpting as well.

Well, Rob, the thought has crossed my mind. But, considering the angel (witch you have of course) in witch the lower body of the rider i posed, it would result looking like the rider is being thrown forward over the horses neck :smile2:

The best painted army I've seen in a long time. :eusa_clap: Keep up the high standard, the effort is well worth the outcome. I can't wait to see a completed army.

Very well painted!
Is the head on the standard scuplted or is that a plastic head from a different kit?

Yo u have already some plans fore that?

The plan is to have everyone of the knights looking unique and individual, like a band of secular, rich, nobleman horsebreeders, ganging up to defend their land...a bit like ranchers in a western movie :-D

The horse is beautiful! Outstanding work.

Fantastic horse, could you run a recipe by us for that skin?

Hahaha! This thread makes me laugh.
In despair.
Absolutely awesome in every conceivable way. When your army is finished, you should send pictures to the White Dwarf team so that even more people can see this.

What is your recipe for the palomino color :icon_question:
I like how you raised the horses two hind legs up a bit hirer than the front one that is on the ground. Seems to make the horse look better. :icon_cool:

I used a base of 50/50 Scorched brown and Calthan brown, using more Calthan for each stage, of a final pure Calthan. For the last highlights i mixed Calthan with Snakebite leather. The hoffbeard and the tail is a base of Calthan and Bleached bone, with more Bone for each stage, with a finale of Skull white and Bleached bone. All was then given a couple of thin coats of Devlan mud and for he darkest parts a thin wash of Badab black(all citadel colors).

Damn, that Knight looks incredible already

About how far down do you thin your paints when layering like this, and are we talking 4 to 5 layers total here?

Great work.
I really like the colour palette and level of painted freehand details on your models, they've got a very John Blanche type look to them with the check patterns, and bits of text detail.
I'm amazed that the yellow and black with green and purple accents works so well, the models still look uniform despite the variation. Quite a brave choice to go ahead with.

Hi! Finished this model yesterday..will probably use him as a captain or a unit champion. Used lots of different parts, plastic and metal, and some green-work to. Didn't put to much effort on the painting- just wanted to get him done- so its not one of my best work :smile2: hope you like him!

That is awesome, "not one of your best" is still worlds better then my best, hahahaha. Can I ask, how long did it take you to paint that guy? Hours wise, or day wise, or both. Up until now I have thought that nice painting takes a lot longer, but even poor painting takes me a long time, so I've been thinking maybe I should try and learn some better pain skills.

Great use of old parts!
I like the cross on the thigh plate, looks very sharp.

The only greens stuff work was skulpting the mustashe and the soul-patch and also the green belt across the chest from witch the shield hands from...and of cuorse the obligatory fills of green in the joints! Glad you like him!

Hi everybody! And thank you kindly for you prise..one cold not get enough
I know that I haven't been around much lately (not at all in fact) but my work and a leanghtly trip has impaired me from painting. And a lack of interest to be honest (my lust for the hobby comes in waves). This is all over now. From now on the painting will commence in earnest! So expect some new updates son...
Cheers!

( As a side note I like the way you have blended the older spearmen figures with the newer ones - I might need to steal your idea to supplement my stock of 6th edition plastic spearmen ).

Hi everybody!
Finished this guy...hope you like him!
some greenstuff work was done( actually had the wip pictures but accidentally menaged to delete them ) and some kit bashing, nothing fancy. Wanted to paint him in even more earthly tones, think he turned out OK..

You call this an OK paint job :icon_eek: I think you are undervaluing yourself greatly as I call this job superb. I myself can't match it for one and I guess there are a lot of others who can say the same.

Quick question, how long does it take you to do an 'ok' paint job?

-
Nice conversion and a good paintjob.
The crossbow looks a little large for him but the pose makes it work alright.
How much was sculpted? I'm guessing the boots (tops at least), the puffs, hair, thigh armour, sash, belt, shoulders and either all or some of the gloved hands?
Cheers,
Dante
-
You newer cease to impress me with your absolutely amazing figures!
Is that one going to be used as crossbowman champion, or just normal rank and file crossbowman? Or is it only a "painted for fun" mini?
Nevertheless, great conversion, great paintjob. Now go and make some more, yarr!
-
Another brilliant figure !! :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap:

That model is pimp! How long til you finish the rest of the unit :-D

:-o Have not seen your blog before, but will be a regular visitor from now on. Very inspiering! It is all at a very high level, but the freehand and skintones is just crazy. Can´t wait to see more. It's work like this that keep me painting and wanting to get better at it :::cheers:::
The knight conversions/painting and the halflings made me a little teary eyed, you don´t see stuff like this every day.

Absolutely amazing. I hope you read this and have even more pictures to put up.

Just spotted this thread thanks to the bounce, and I have to say, bloody brilliant....

I think we should restart the update chants to summon the halfling out of his drunken stupor.

Love the subtle GS work. Like the fringes and cloth around the necks.
Painting is as great as always!

Starting a new knight…think I got the pose right, imagining him just about to brake into a gallop.

Absolutely fantastic! That's what an Empire knight should look like! :eusa_clap:
-
Of course we have not forgotten about you..I think some guys even started to sacrifice virgins to bring you back .
-
Hahahaha, seems a tad bit harsh…might have done the trick though.
-
Very nice.
-
Might have been their virginity or virgins...not sure. But great to have you back :::cheers:::
-
Hurricanum horse, General legs (or perhaps entire torso?), but I can't make out the rest. Could you tell us the secret formula of bits used?
-
I would guess...Demigryphon knight the head and the left arm.
-
dude!! glad your back ...looking forward to the next creation :::cheers::: :::cheers::: :::cheers:::
-
God guess, the head and actually booth arms are from the demigryphon knights, with some minor conversion-work done…like filing of the shield-strap. General legs and torso. I also had to file of quite a lot from the inner legs of the knight to fit him on the horse, thereof the greenstuff pelt. A saddle back-piece also had to be sculpted. Otherwise a pretty simple conversion.
Thanx Zak, god too be back, hope I will not disappoint you…Cheers :::cheers::: :::cheers:::
-
Oh, its not done yet tough, still have some sculpting to do on the tail and the saddle blanket.

I found looping a laurel wreath around the damaged part of the tail worked well to disguise where the chain once attached.

Thanx for the tip….not one for shortcuts though :icon_biggrin:

Wow mate! Absolutely stunning work! Lots of skill there and patience and attention to detail. I love it. Hope to see a lot more soon. Maybe some photos of the whole army together?

That is the BEST banner I've seen for quite a while. Very inspiring.
-
Incredible! Really nice work with the banner! And the bsb looks like he has escaped from US marine corps.
This blog just keeps on being awesome. :eusa_clap:
-
Stunning Banner, great work.
-
HOLY SHIT!
Those are amazing.....keep up the good work so the payment of the hit squad that will breach your house and get those minis for me will really have payed for themselves.
-
Incredible - absolutely incredible. Fantastic work.
-
 slap my momma good dude :::cheers::: :::cheers::: :::cheers:::
-
That banner looks fabulous. :eusa_clap:
How about a tutorial on painting banners or freehands in general for beginners like me? I would like to learn that, too. :::cheers:::
-
fantastic paint job!!
What intrigues me about the model pose though is how he thinks he will hold the banner up high with the first bit of wind... especially if blown from his left..
-
Thanx for the comments everyone :::cheers:::
Will do a tutorial on my next banerman, why not, sounds like fun..!
I really don't understand the pose myself, its the LIMITED EDITION EMPIRE STANDARD BEARER model from some years back (tough you all probably know that) and if you try to bend the pole into the right position it will look crocked...so ask the guy responsible for sculpting it. Still like the model dough!
-
Wow, that's just awesome.
-
Knights and Greatswords, you're displaying stunningly prosperous Averland. :eusa_clap:
-
Very nice indeed, looking closely at the models it looks like that you don't use many if any washes?
-
Finished a new knight. Some thing could have been done better, even so, pleased with the end result. Used mostly the Kurt model, some green knight stuff and bits and pieces from different empire spurs. Repositioned the legs on the horse and made the vest out of green stuff. Hope you like!
Cheers(http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/t656/Balkanbob84/IMG_1292_zpsafbe5bf1.jpg) (http://s1318.photobucket.com/user/Balkanbob84/media/IMG_1292_zpsafbe5bf1.jpg.html)(http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/t656/Balkanbob84/IMG_1294JPG_zps15e4c976.jpg) (http://s1318.photobucket.com/user/Balkanbob84/media/IMG_1294JPG_zps15e4c976.jpg.html)(http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/t656/Balkanbob84/ad6f6fce-84f1-4488-9315-a83b53edbab7_zps6f29a9fd.jpg)[/URL(http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/t656/Balkanbob84/IMG_1297JPG_zps616106a2.jpg)[/URL(http://i1318.photobucket.com/albums/t656/Balkanbob84/IMG_1295_zpsb26828d2.jpg) (http://s1318.photobucket.com/user/Balkanbob84/media/ad6f6fce-84f1-4488-9315-a83b53edbab7_zps6f29a9fd.jpg.html)

Absolutely stunning. Being new to the Warhammer world (and just so happens that I chose to create an Averland army myself), this is a huge inspiration for me. Thank you for sharing!
