Some of my non Empire & non WFB stuff.
« on: March 16, 2010, 06:00:52 PM »
I realise that there's not much detail to be seen with these pics downsized to fit in a thread. If anyone's interested, I can sort out a photobucket album link.

Some of my late WW1 French infantry (Brigade Games)

French assault troops (Brigade Games)

German Stormtroopers (Great War Miniatures)

German infantry (Renegade & Great War Miniatures)

German light mortars and a 77mm gun (Renegade)

German Maxim HMGs (Renegade) and grenade launchers (Great War Miniatures)

Some converted BFSP Trolls (GW) I did for Jan. painting challenge

Love the Troll with the big Bad Moon in his hands!

Cheers for the replies lads.

GP... Yep, all 28mm. The GWM and BG ones are all really nice sculpts, the Renegade figures are not as precise but are a really cheap way of bulking out the army.

BAWTRM ... Cheers, they're all pretty straight forward conversions but I like the way they came out (especially the Bad Moon troll).  :icon_biggrin:

I am most pleased you reconsidered and posted these.

Do more and post them.

You have 2 days.
I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

GWM is Great War Miniatures and BG is Brigade Games.

Please post a picture of both the standard models and those heavy weapons next to a standard GW model, preferably imperial guard or other human. Really want to see the scale, especially of the weapon teams as I want to buy...

I took some comparison pics today (borrowed some IG from a friend) and have put them on photobucket.  here

These are all metal figures so converting the rifles to lasguns is likely to be time consuming. I imagine if you're prepared to put in the effort, there are loads of possibilities...

Most 20th Century periods have miniature ranges available in 28mm these days; WW1, WW2, Vietnam, USSR in Afghanistan, even up to date War on Terror ranges are coming out.

Edit: Just a thought, if you want to avoid a load of conversion work, you could always use plastic Cadians and just replace the heads. Gripping Beast do some head sprues as do West Wind though you may have to research the scale differences involved.
