It's obviously as rigged as the real oscars.
Best miniatures and they don't include GW?
That's madness.

Say what you like about GW prices and rules, their models are the best in the world.

Of course their are a few exceptions (like my dwarf miners coming out of the ground), but nothing compares to flaggies, marauders, the chimera, etc.

Just wait till next week and you see my dwarf gyro.

Yeah, I also thought their choices to be a tad strange to be honest.

It's not just Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! and no M:TG, it's two times Pokemon and three times Yu-Gi-Oh! and no M:TG.

Wut?

Remember when Forrest Gump won best film?
The same year that Pulp Fiction was nominated?

Award ceremonies without me dealing the prizes out are like farts in a space suit: annoying and something is compromised.

Compare Malifaux releases this year to GW releases.  There's no comparison.  I like GW minis.  But they're not the best in the world.

I was quite amazed as it says it is the 40th year.  :biggriin:

As Zif is suggesting I guess these nominees are for 2013 or the last 12 months.

Maybe one of you nerds  :engel: can hunt the results for the previous 39 years, and see how many times GW have won .........................

You're not often right and you're wrong again.

However, I don't actually know Malifaux... their art looks kinda paedophile though.

The gyrobomber is indeed a very nice model - for 40K.

If you honestly think that the Gyrobomber is one of the "best models in the world" then I guess there's no hope for you.  I wouldn't even consider it one of the best Dwarf models.

Lots of flat open surfaces with minimal detailing.  A pain in the ass to assemble.  And the humanoid character is mostly obscured.

And you posted the wrong link to Malifaux.  The nomination is for "Malifaux: The Guild’s Judgement" for "Best Miniature Figure Line."

Here's some of the contents.

You might notice certain differences, such as weapons aren't larger than the model's torso, a limitation of one skull per model, and reasonably realistic leg-to-torso proportions.

Not impressed to see HeroClix on that list of nominees.
Of the three nominees Malifaux is the clear winner.

Maybe they're afraid GW will sue them. We all know how GW feels about about free publicity.  :engel:
