In the city I live in, the lowest speed you can be ticketted for is 10 miles over. They'll still pull you over and ticket you for 10 over if you're doing 8 over, especially in residential areas, where the fines are doubled.

We have a cop in our Warhammer league who told us that he only pulls you over if you're going more than 11 miles over.

Watch out for the small town Wisconsin cops though. They'll be waiting on stretches of road where there's a sudden decrease in speed and write you the largest ticket possible. Especially if you have Illinois plates...

4 team playoff for college. That will be a bit better, but oh the whining for teams on the bubble.

It also totally screws the medium and small schools. They are totally shut out for 12 years. Not that they could compete anyway.

I was going to say, they had less of a chance before. Not that they have a good one now mind, but, hey, slight improvement.

I predict an 8 or 16 team play-off by 2025. Any larger than that is too unwieldy, but you could do that in a month.

I thought they should've gone with a 6-team playoff, similar to the NFL's: 4 conference champs (SEC, Big 10, Big 12, Pac-10), and then two wild cards (based on highest overall ranking of non-champ teams). That keeps the conference championships meaningful, and still gives the little guys a chance to get in. But this is a step in the right direction.

I am sure the big conferences were in all out defense mode to keep the upstarts out. If you can't play for a national championship, there is only so far you can go in recruiting for your program. Mission accomplished.

It'll be interesting to see what Notre Dame does. Not that I really give a crap about those bastards. Actually I don't hate team and most of the alumni. It's the rabid fans who never went there that are too annoying to take.

I would prefer 8. Conference champs, four highest schools who aren't conference champs.

Though I suppose I should say 6, but we all know the ACC and Big East don't count.

Edit: There's sure to be a Notre Dame clause, not that it'll ever be invoked.
