They look dipped, especially the Halberds, but they do look great!

The reds and greens look especially deep and rich.

Nice stuff so far fellow Hochlander.

I especially like the wizard and the fact that you managed to make those ancient halberdiers look so spiffy and up to date.  8-)

Yeah, my thought also. Dipped but it works good. It lacks some of the nice smaller detailing but as a whole it looks pretty good. And as an army as a whole it would look great.
Design stays, however, according to my opinion, at least partially something miraculous. -J. Bakema (Architect)

Looking good there, though I'm not a big fan on dipping white - it looks weird.

I love what you did with the banner bearer in the swordsmen unit.

So I take it these models are dipped? Looks very good. Therefore, do you just dip them into the stuff, or do you brush it on, or do you water it down a bit, let me know

Thanks

Whenever I get around to painting, I need to look into dipping too. What did you use for the dip?

Models were dipped into wood stain and then the excess of the stain was removed by a brush. When the sculptures were dry ,after 24h, the sculptures were warnished.  Wood stain I use was produced by Sadolin, colour:walnut.

And you have to repeat the process over, and over, and over, and over again.....boooooooooring...

Absolutely fantastic. I was contemplating the same check pattern on my knights (as on your BSB), how hard was it to accomplish?

Great army!
