Share Your Snow Sculptures Here!
« on: January 13, 2019, 10:25:24 PM »
Anyone up for a snow sculpture challenge?  :biggriin:

It's that time of the year!

The snow is currently too frosty and lumpy to be much good for detailwork. It would not have been advisable to attempt teeth with such material:

And old ones from previous years:

Those are great! I love making stuff like that, but sadly we've had barely any snow all year. I've been outside without a coat for most of the week.

Quite impressive.

I'm wondering the dimensions of these?

Cheers folks!

Most of them are about 160-170 cm high when newly sculpted.

Snow is melting fast, but here is a comic police dog in snow for a young member of the extended family:

@Rowsdower: Yes, I believe that was the character. I got a picture from my dad to sculpt.

It is that time of the year! Snow has finally come in droves. Days and days of shovelling and skiing has ensued. Blissful.

I'm nowhere near as good as Karak (oddly enough I've seen him around Reddit and DeviantArt). But it snowed last night.

@Feanor Fire Heart: Very nice snowman! Great activity together with the children. Thanks for sharing! Oh, and fantastic user name! Favourite Tolkien character.

It was so cold this past week that the snowman didn't melt. Last night it snowed about a foot and a half where I am at. Here's the state of the snowman now:

@GamesPoet: Damn right, sir!

@Feanor Fire Heart: Nice snowman!

@Zygmund: Cheers!

Ho-ho-ho. What time of the year is it? It's snow shovelling season up here in the frigid north! And ski time.

Shovelling snow around houses and cars for neighbours and family has meant plenty of chances to sculpt quick and shoddy things in snow. King Bore (the proverbial winter god) has brought us a bountiful harvest of frozen water from on high:
