Except for:
Better graphics
Better sound effects
Better voice acting
Cleaner quest system
Better attribute/skill engine
Better combat system
Improved crafting system
Better thieves guild quest
Integrated Werewolf
Perk system for individualized character development

Oblivion does have:
Actual attributes to facilitate bonuses from magic or werewolf/vampire powers
More variety of over world areas
More diversity in the cities
Better fighter's guild quest
Better mages guild quests

As a whole though, Skyrim is the stronger game.

playing ME3, its the hypest shit yo! I think I've squeed like a little nerdy girl way too much, and all ive done is the prologue and just met up with liara.  I am nerdgasming all over the place!

I just finished it last night.  The ending was a bit anti-climactic, but decent.

Overall, I enjoyed 2 the most.  1 felt clunky, the mako was stupid, the micromanagement was tedious.  The last mission on 2 gave me some of the most tense, agonizing moments in my video game life -- deciding who does what, and then living with the consequences of those decisions.  3 gave me a little of that, but not nearly on the same level.  But all three are great.

To the rest of the thread, my top 5 RPGs:
1. Mass Effect 2
2. Mass Effect 3
3. Baldur's Gate II (liked the story better than 1, and it was more polished)
4. Baldur's Gate (amazing, game-changing, game)
5. Skyrim (sandbox, baby...my girl likes roleplaying, but free-form stuff, so she loves Skyrim but isn't as keen on the "crunchier RPGs"...in Skyrim, she can run around a beautiful open world killing and eating people as a werewolf...I know of no other game where she could do that)
6. Mass Effect 1
7. Oblivion
8. Final Fantasy 9 (I found the Vivi storyline very moving, and the main line was solid, too)
9. Final Frantasy 7
10. Final Fantasy 2 (mainly here because it was my first RPG, and will thus always be dear to my heart)

I need to check our Torment.  Anyone know where it's available/how to get it to run on a current computer?

Except for:
Better graphics Agreed
Better sound effects  Agreed
Better voice acting  Agreed
Cleaner quest system  A more clever system, yes. The quests themselves were not much better.
Better attribute/skill engine  Strongly disagree. I prefer Oblivion's. This is a matter of pure opinion, so no argument will be necessary
Better combat system  Not much of a difference. Click click click click, FUSRODAH!!!! They just added shouts, basically.
Improved crafting system  I thought it was a small improvement. Not very much improved. Not being able to brew potions in the wild is annoying, if fair.
Better thieves guild quest  I strongly disagree with this. I much preferred the Grey Fox quest line to the "Our Boss is a Dick" one.
Integrated Werewolf  Meh
Perk system for individualized character development  But all your characters end up the same, just with different armor/weapon combos.

Oblivion does have:
Actual attributes to facilitate bonuses from magic or werewolf/vampire powers
More variety of over world areas
More diversity in the cities
Better fighter's guild quest
Better mages guild quests

As a whole though, Skyrim is the stronger game.  I love Skyrim. It's gorgeous. I simply think Oblivion is a better overall game.

is it weird that I find myself staring at EDI's robot boobs?  they are shiny.  Apparently joker approves, as does the lesbian com officer traynor.

also I find myself really liking the turian primarch, one cool cat.  Thane reached out to me via email, now I cant help but sing the ballad of jayne cobb replacing jayne with thane.  Figured he would have kicked the bucket by now.  This game is awesome!

I just realized that EDI's alternate battle armor is Miranda's loyalty armour from ME2.

If you did all the quests properly you ended up with like 15. Which was slightly less ludicrous but still very ludicrous.

On the plus side at least it's obvious what Sean Beans fate was. He's Sean Bean.

Playing dragon age last night, I encountered another instance of a standard Bioware quest I hate.

The one where you find a journal with a list of actions to perform to complete some sort of ritual or other. Then you have to do them in the right order or you get zapped or something. I already had to do this twice in the wizard's tower! And since this one was labeled 'elven ritual,' I thought, 'no thanks.'

Lame.
Hey, I could still beat up a woman!

It just summons a demon anyway normally. Which you then kill instantly.

Anyway if you've got time for Dragon Age you've got time to do something EoW related! Not that you currently have a task yet.

Crap that means I have to do it.

Did we play different games? Anti climatic is a very generous and polite understatement. Though if you only just finished it then you didn't get the crap fest that the unedited ending was.

I played ME1 about 12 times and ME2 about 6. I haven't touched ME3 after finishing it and if the next DLC isn't related to the ending (which seems very unlikely) then it'll sit in my cupboard forever probably.

I was psyched like feanor and finished the game in 2 days before nerd raging.

*Spoilers here*
ME3 wasin't all that great IMO. Poor ending, too short and the fact that everything you worked hard for became meaningless did not put the game in in my good books.

I was damned dissipointed with it. 2 was WAYYYYYYYYY better. Longer, better ending and more importantly, cooler.

Though it was qusi-Pooptastic I likes Mark of Chaos a little better than DoW1 and it's expantions for some reason.

Really? Mark of Chaos?

It was a nice game, but it didn't exactly have a lot of tactical depth. And the hero duels were kind of boring. Stand there and whack at each other, occasionally trigger special ability when cooldown is done.

Now, a Warhammer game I really liked was Chaos Gate. That was awesome! Is there any way to get that, and get it to run on Windows 7 smoothly?
