Deathwolf transfers
« on: July 06, 2017, 12:24:20 PM »
Just being a lazy sot and asking the experts. Is there a transfer sheet for the herald deathwolf company. It has the wolf that stalks the stars (red background black wolf head and white shooting star). This might be a lot easier than painting the impossible for me.

Have you ever tried making your own? Someone asked the same question as you and got this reply;

There are downloadable sheets, but no ones available to buy that I can find.

This is a good start! Thanks darkknight. I might be able to do something with these. I would have to pick this company but I have a soft spot for it. I remember my son wanting a father/son tattoo as a bond. We never did but I still think that was cool.

The difficulty in making your own transfers will be the white - you cannot print white on clear decal paper, and if you use white decal paper you have to trim it VERY close.

What you could do is make two sheets of transfers - one which is a red circle with the white details printed on white decal paper. Cut it tight around the circle (or, perhaps better, print a larger red shape with the white details in the middle and then use a punch - you can get very fancy, specific ones from craft supply shops for scrapbooking - to cut a precise circle). Then, make a wolf's head on clear decal paper.

A bit of a faff, but the results might be spectacular.

Wow!!
Brilliant and one job to produce a prodigious amount of cursing , but what a good idea. Just need to find decal paper now.

Couldn't you just paint the pad red. Apply the wolf head decal and paint the star?
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

That's a good idea too Friday. The only thing is the star. I am abysmal at fine details like faces, banners emblems etc. That's why I react so much in the B&P at the facial details and expressions. But that idea is very cool. Maybe paint red then star decal followed by wolf decal. Will still require two sheets but I can forgo that particular pain.
