Topic: 3500 point NEcron versus 1750 Tyranids and 1750 Chaos Marines

I am playing a big 3500 point game today.

HEre is my list:

HQ:

1 Harbinger of Destruction - Solar Pulse

Elite:

1 Ctan - Gaze of Death, Writhing Worldscape

Troops:

10 immortals - Harbinger of Storms
10 immortals - Harbinger of Storms - Nightscythe
10 Warriors - Orikan
10 Warriors
9 Warriors - Ghost Ark - Harbinger of Destruction
5 Warriors

Heavy:

3 Monoliths
1 Doom Scythe

Fast:

7 Scarabs
7 Scarabs

I wanted to try out Orikan, a Ctan, and the Night Scythe and Doomscythe.

Opponent list and picture report to follow the game this afternoon.

We only made it through 3 turns.  We will finish next week but already I made a few observations:

1.  Ctan are just too expensive no matter what upgrades you give them.  He is doing fine, but he isn't earning his 270 points back by any means.

2.  Doomscythes don't deserve being heavy slots and are certainly not worth 175 points.

3.  Nightscythes are a great buy as dedicated 100 point transports with a nice gun and astounding speed.

4.  Orikan is pretty useful if you have lots reserves, which I don't.  Empowered however he still deals out some nice offense.
