Cool model! The swirls look like a pile of good work. What sort of magic does he do?

He has access to Tzeentchian spells. I'll have to check on his Silver Tower abilities.

Two Skaven Deathrunners all ready to go. The only enemies left from Silver Tower are the Tzaangors now. Almost there!

Very nice! I don’t think there’s a bad sculpt in that box.

Over and above Sharkbelly!
Chaos units are so much better than I remember. I was merger really a fan except mauraders but almost every unit is great.

So the Darkoath Chieftain came in handy in our latest foray into the Tower. We found him in one of the rooms and he accompanied us as a companion...

Our first encounter was with a room almost full of adevrsaries. However, we fought our way in.

The next room had some Screamers in it.

Then we found a strange swirling portal. So of course we jumped in.

It took us to another chamber with some enemies and a potential ally.

After healing the Darkoath Chieftain, he helped to battle our enemies.

We encountered a Skaven Deathrunner fleeing from an Ogroid Thaumaturge!

The Knight Questor challenged him to single combat while the party dealt with the others.

At last we reached the final encounter, which included the Ogroid Thaumaturge. Again.

It was actually a little anti-climactic after the previous fight, although the magic mushrooms kept things interesting.

The game looks so good with everything all painted up. painted heroes clearing rooms full of painted models. So much better then the blank plastic I've been using.

Thanks! It's been a haul, but I've enjoyed it. The campaign is on hold for the summer, now, but I promise more updates in August. In the meantime, I've painted up some Azyrite Ruins and a Realmgate to go with a new Hallowheart board. I don't have any pics handy, though...

Yeah, painted minis on a game board look so much better. I've discovered that after playing a game of Talisman with fully painted set of miniatures. :smile2:

Tzaangors are done! For now. There is a lot of detail on these guys, and I am experiencing a little bit of fatigue with them...

Thanks! Speaking of Tzeentch, this Dark Eldar Archon struck me as being similar in style to the Kairic Acolytes (the shape of the sword blade, face on the helmet, etc.) and I decided to paint him up as a chaos lord to lead them.

Here he is leading a group of followers.
