The Swordsmen heads are from Micro art studios, ive bought them locally though and as i can see from their website they have plenty of retailers around so it should be possible to find them :)

Pretty nice army!
I really like your white

I really like this. You have a very unique and distinct style. You obviously have very good brush control. The color scheme is very nice. I imagine this army looks pretty amazing on the game table. Sure, you could add more dpeth or highlights if you wanted, but I think I like this the way it is. Clean and crisp, which is a style in and of itself. Nicely done!  :icon_biggrin:

Shucks... looks like you added some more photos...

My advice... just give up. You have obviously already mastered the hobby. I suggest you begin looking at working in the financial sector.

You have manage to created a very unique army. I am pretty sure that you enemies will not forgot this on the battlefield. This is truly art you have success constructed, you should be proud of yourself.

About the creamwhite. What is the colour code for that ?. I would really like to copy that (If you want to give that away of cause) to my warband sisters of sigmar.

The white is just white. However it is worth noting that its 3 - 4 layers on a black undercoat... do it on a white undercoat (which would seem logic) and it turns slightly greyísh for some reason...  shrug

And if you like the shine, add a very thin layer of glossy varnish on top of the white "metal" areas like breastplates, thigh plates etc.

Hope it helps, else by all means poke me.

Kind regards

I don't think you need any 'subtle' highlights and washes at all. This army looks fantastic. Then again, those who know how I myself paint, will not be surprised that this is my opinion. Neat, crisp, clean but bold means an army where the individuals 'stand out' to the naked eye even when seen as a whole army.

Excellent well done.

Everything has looked rather cool so far.

In a way I thank you for doing up the Teutogen Guard in the white armor because now I see that it not only can be done well, but that it looks really good too. (I've had an interest in re-painting up my lot that way ever since reading the Sigmar novels).

I really like the dynamics of the teutogen guards, up until the recent edition i always felt many of the miniatures where... unlikely in their pose, clumpsy to look at and certainly not in a fighting position.

I think the new kits have made up for that in a big way, but the Teutogen kicked it off from my perspective :)

The fine details, quality of the sculpting , poses and the metal alloy finish, totally impressed me with the Teutogen's!

I still have 10 more to paint!

Now someone has raised this thread from the dead (I wanted to comment earlier, but I thought I would not) - this is a WONDERFUL army, Claus! I really like the Greek / Maltese cross theme on the first unit - then again, that is my theme too :)

I wouldn't put that much effort in the eyes, they look too big now. I would forget about them alltogether.

I take it youre thinking about the swordsmen, which where the very first i painted (which im sure is easy too see).

And ive been thinking of giving them a makeover as well.. but.. well.. i never seem to get around to it.. it will most likely end with me making a new unit entirely.

But i appriciate your critischism, and will make a due note of it :)

Kind regards

I love the army as is, I find little room for criticism. I would love to be able to paint this well (Or even just white this well) Cheers!
