Very nice, Albrecht. What did you use as the base for your Light Dude?
Now go! Ride towards the sun atop these noble steeds
You're our spandex heroes, now fullfil your destinies
And so we turned and rode beyond the castle walls
with shiny codpiece armour that doth cradle our chivalrous balls

Here is a Bright Wizard that I did a while back.

The first picture is out of focus but you get the idea:

Also the yellow clothing on this gal was my first attempt at wet blending

Black. I've used black basecoat exclusively for over fifteen years. I think it adds depth in interesting spots and covers a multitude of sins as well!  :biggriin:

Really? Huh.

What about the mini itself? That doesn't look like regulation wizard kit to me!  :icon_mad:

Oh...It's the wizard from the Hurricanum/Luminark, built as a Light wizard. It also has some bitz you can also swap around to build him as a Heavens wizard.

Albrecht, your Fire Wizard Lord looks really impressive, as the Wizard Lord should be

Shadow Wizard

Light Wizard Lord

Fire Wizard Lord

Celestial Wizard (and Hurricanum)

A few other fellas (including the Fire Wizard Lord)

Hurricanum Acolytes "Dude? Where's our cart?"

It has to be said, those are some of the coolest wizards I've seen

As in Whiteborn, I like it a lot.
How is the ball in the staff made? Just painted it blue and then painted in stripes of white?

I haven't even got a wizard for my Empire army, and haven't painted anything magical for fantasy for a while, but here's a necromancer I did a few years ago! I think he's in DC ntinental Europe or America somewhere now

Exactly as You say. However the gloss varnish missing on the ball until now.

Fun figures, subtle shading - they look great. Are they for Frostgrave? (And if so, how do you like the game? It seems very popular.)

Looking back at this thread it's a shame it got so photobucketed. Hopefully your threadomancy will start some reposts as well as more new wizards!

Thanks! They were a lot of fun to paint. The intent was to use them for a frostgrave warband I was building, but I've abandoned the project as I don't have anyone around to play with anymore. I never got a game in so I don't have any opinion on it, other than other people's enjoyment of it.
