@S.O.F: We would! I mean - I'll have to speak with the boys, but more is better than less, so I'll take anything you'll throw at me S.O.F. Also, did the Annual contained army rules, or just pics?

@Artobans: I have a lot of old WD's, just need to skip through them and search for some goodies. Warhammer Chronicles were a great thing, adding more stuff to WFB. It's a shame that they've discarded it so fast.

Annual / chronicle contained the rules. It also had DoW special character rules too I think. Mydas was interesting.

I've read the Annual. Really cool stuff there. Steam tanks, DoW and a Middenland army, among many things.

Yes I did, thank you! :biggriin:

On another note - the Warhammer Chronicles had a lot of cool, optional stuff for 6th edition armies, but very few for Chaos and High Elves, it seems. Dose any of you know, if they maybe did recieved some cool, W-C units?

I could get you a list of special Chaos Champions (changeover 5th to 6th) and  Archaon's Horde (in German; from SOC).

High Elves got nothing really in 6th or SoC. In 7th they got lion chariot and dragon mage. In 8th they got phoenixes and skycutter chariots.

Thank you once again Fidelis.

@Warlord: they got Sea Patrol army in SoC, with sea mages, ship crew, drakes and a bullshit rule that allows a free missile volley, before the start of a game. I as thinking about semi-official units, like the ones from Warhammer Chronicles articles in WD. The units that you've mentioned were in official army books.

If i remember well High elves had  army list, special characters for the War of the Beard, while WoC had experimental rules for mutations as options for heroes.

Yeah, both Dwarfs and Elves could replay the War of the Beard. Elves could have dragons with magic-casting abilities (sic!), while Dwarfs were prohibited from taking gunpowder weaponry. Cool stuff.

I think that I missed the experimental rules for mutations...

If you want the War of the Beard and the SoC Lothern Seaguard, I have those as well. There is also the Grudge of Drong scenario.

I don't remember SoC sea guard being all that interesting. Most people maxed out on reapers. So much so I forgot the sea drake model they made.

War of the Beard was for a specific campaign. I guess I didn't consider it outside of those circumstances...

SoC armies were largely awful.

I mostly like a lot of the campaigns and campaign armies GW did over the years & editions, though.

As far as other alternatives, there was also the Army of the Cairns - though that's obviously neither HE nor WoC.

Army of the Cairns was for the Undead, right?

SoC had the Slayer Army, which could win, even if it lost, if I remember correctly.

@Fidelis: I would gladly grab more stuff from you, thanks! :smile2:

There was an amazon army too I believe? About the same time as the Lustria campaign?
It might have just been Dogs of War counts as / conversions though.

Yep. They were in a WD from 2005. They could be taken as a Dogs of War unit, but were obviously best suited for the Lustria & Conquest of the New World Campaign. I have got them too, but in German.

Thats right.

There was also another alternative list for undead for Lustria - the undead pirate army list. They also introduced the dogs of war zombie pirate unit, but there was a whole army list that went with it too.

I have both the Amazon and the Undead Pirates lists. Also there was the Lustria campaign AND the Conquest of Lustria, from Warhammer Chronicles. The second one was more of a scenario mash-up. I also have it.

Now I'm tempted to start a Lizardmen army, simply to play the Lustria campaigns...

A quick question to you peeps: does anyone have 6th to 8th edition FAQ's for WFB? Obviously Games Workshop dosen't have them anymore, and I'd love to get my hands on them.

Good that I saved copies then. Just the BRB or do you want the Empire FAQ (or any other) as well?

All of them, whatever you've got. I only have a couple for the 8th edition. I'll take everything gladly. :smile2:
