Lots of Edgar Froese and Klaus Schultz. (And there is a LOT of the latter's work out there.)

Edgar Froese! Tangerine dream! One of my favorites of this band is Stratosfear. Dating myself again. I like your musical taste Padre!i
Going to check out klaus froese for sure.
However I'm currently listening to leone redbone - On the Track - desert blues.
Just you tubed it and there it was. Got this album back in 1980 I think.
Lov this guy. How can anyone get away singing this stuff in the 80's.

Edgar Froese's stuff is very like Tangerine Dream. I listened to him almost non stop for months last year (in the car). Klaus Schultz is way more minimal, so I think he would be a much more acquired taste, and not at all for everyone. I love some of his stuff though, and it's great as music to work or study to.

Recently got a new headset at work (last one broke after excessive use), which means I am no longer forced to listen to my colleague's radio station (horrible, horrible music interrupted only by a braindead dj's comments and tedious commercials), not to mention seven different conversations going on all at once in the hallway.

Right now my playlist basically consists of Nightwish, Motorhead, Halestorm, ACDC, The Pretty Reckless and Arch Enemy. I'm finally getting some work done again!

What is with these dj's now. Complete idiots in our city. Can barely tolerate them. They take Stupid pills I'm sure.

This guy is honestly terrible. I've heard him make a mix of Queen and some annoying j-pop song once. Blasphemy!

Or he starts singing "funny" lyrics along to the music he plays. Or talking during the entire length of a song. But mostly it is just really, really horrible music. So happy I have my headset now!

Been listening to a few of the new Metallica tracks and I'm reasonably hyped about the new album. Having been a long time fan of them, I've actually stepped back from listening to them at all recently, probably just overload.

That said, unlike most people I've actually enjoyed a fair few tracks from both their recent albums. Looks like they've stepped it up again here.

The one I most life right now is 'confusion'. Great vid too.

I'm kind of expecting a big metallica suck backlash now...  :-P

We've had the discussion before, but I think that backlash is unreasonable a lot of times.  Anyhow, I'll give it a listen at some point.  Wasn't a fan of Death Magnatic, but that was really the only one where I was very disappointed.

Taking a short break from death metal to listen to Taylor Davis on YouTube, an amazing violinist who started out doing covers of theme music from movies, animes (which I don't watch, but still beautiful music), and video games (mostly PS games, which I don't own, but holy cow is her version of mega man 2's dr wily stage awesome, not to mention the assassin's creed covers), but in the past few years she's released two albums with original songs. Really considering purchasing one or several of her albums, although I'm not sure yet simply because of the pricetag (the albums themselves have a very fair price of about 15 dollars, but shipping them to Europe would double that amount). Digital versions aren't really an option for me since I mainly listen to music while driving. Might get one or more for Christmas though.

The way I discovered her music really went via a sidetrack- I often have Nightwish playing on youtube at work, and one time I clicked a Pretty Reckless video (who are awesome, by the way), and from there a Halestorm video (from metal to rock- not a big leap). Then I found a collaboration between Halestorm and Lindsey Stirling, who is a dubstep violinist. Which is really a shame- she's incredibly talented and rocks whenever she does a non-dubstep song (phantom of the opera, my immortal, shatter me, video game covers etc). But the bulk of her work is dubstep, which I've never really cared for (although she does it in a way that is actually fun). And from her, I found out about fellow violinist Taylor Davis, who does not do dubstep (fortunately), and have been listening to her YouTube channel for about two days straight now!

Think I might buy a couple of albums after all ;).

A lot of Kavinsky.

I like Kavinsky. Retro 80s is cool to a teenager of the 80s. Mind you, my 8 year old likes them too!

A Pale Horse Named Death - Die Alone

The lyrics are nothing special, but the bass is glorious.

Hotline Miami games are a truly deranged masterpieces, and this includes their OST's. Here's one of my favorites.

Awaken - Yes. Just came across this version this morning. Perhaps my favorite song of all time. It encapsulates at the greatness that can be found in mere mortals. Been my favorite since I first listened to it in 1977.  I was 13 when music was an intense and imazing discovery.
I happen to like this band as my favorite since I heard Starship Trooper in 1975 lol. Like a bloody eternity ago.

Handel's hallaleuya chorus from the messiah on CBC. I think I would like to here this live in a great cathedral once before I croak again 😸
