Recently went tango dancing at a location I'd not been at before, and it was fun!

There was one tanda with a lady that was one of those series of three tangos that tango dancers dream of having, both connected through out the 3 songs with just creativity and joy, very special.

Just had a letter from the Building Society (Bank) saying my mortgage was all paid up and finished.
The "Bricks & Mortar" is mine .... all mine.

That’s the letter I am waiting for. Probably will never come but by god, that would be a great day. Congrats!

Well it was the Rumba two years ago, and the Salsa last year, so we are due a change.
I suppose if GP came we would have to make it the American Smoothie

The very thought of that wounds me deeply. Wounded right in the feels.

You colonials can't just waltz into our Eurobash, and quick step over our traditions.

I honestly don't know what hurts me more. The secrets, the puns or lumping my loyal Canadian soul in with the yanks.  Of course it's probably harder making a pun about dominions. 

I also have no pun follow up, which just shames me more. I can only hope one of my fellow new worlders will step in with something impressive.

It's true, men have been known to dance with men, particularly with tango.

However, if there was a milonga being run one of the same days as the Eurobash in Belgium, it certainly would make things more attractive.  There'd be ladies there!

Rumba, Salsa, and American Smoothie sound like names for the drinks being served at the Eurobash.

By the way, GP is fluent in American Smooth and International Standard.  Evidently Midaski knows the difference, I'm impressed.

Oh my, had to reduce the font when quoting that one.  That seemed to come out a bit too over the top in bpms, and reminded me of a ballroom tango with its overly staccato delivery at the same time.  Ooooooh, I cringe at the thought.

Gankom ... remember, we had to fight a war to escape their dominion (and then another one), yet they let you go to avoid having to fight again.  It all sounds like tango to me, and tango ain't Greek.

To be fair generally in our high school education we learn that it was less about avoid a fight (That we probably were to polite to actually do), and more about not having to spend anymore money on us. It's all well and good building an empire, until you actually have to pay to maintain the less interesting bits. India may be the jewel in the crown, but Canada was the friendly, overly polite kid that just keeps bringing beaver pelts.

So if it's any kind of dance its more like the financial side step.
