Next WIP:

The head is a bit oversized, so once it's cured I'll lop it off and chip off a few bits here and there.

I really like how it's coming. Especially with the AoS body.

Current progress.

I made another head, but I decided that they've all ended up being oversized. The first one wasn't that bad so I'll leave it alone, but I'll start from scratch on the others.

Cheers.

To the right: Third head. Too large and goofy.

To the left: Fourth head. Better, but still too large. Should be more like this:

So that he doesn't stand out like a sore thumb next to my dudes when I incorporate him into the squad.

Wow!

Those AoS Airbag Dworfs are perfect for 40K science-fantasy. May I inquire, why not use their heads too?

A few reasons:

- If I use the heads, the models will just be AoS dwarves with 40k guns. A bit boring and lazy.
- I'll try to add a bit of 40k Squat flair by adding a Squat helmet here, a cap there, and the odd pair of shades. See picture.
- In addition, home made heads will make it easier to make each gang member unique with different hair, beards, scars, and so on.
- The AoS heads are great, but they're very ornate helmets. Not ideal for a grimy necromunda gang, better suited for a potential exo-armour conversion.

Fifth try. This guy looks like a zika baby now that I've seen him in a photo.

I don't know. They either look oversized or undersized.

I think this last one is pretty close to the reference picture. The helmet and the beard will make the small head bigger.

I’m liking them. I’m seeing my old uncle Birt all over this. Tough old buzzard ‘e was too.

Did Birt look like a Squat?

Yeah, you're right.

They won't all have beards and helmets though. But I'll just try it out and see what looks good.

I wasn't at the bash. I just can't resist the magnetism of Squats.

I found my pin vise, so I made some autopistols and improved a rifle.

Also nearly done with chainsaw guy.

Reworked chainsaw guy. I might not even be able to use a chainsaw-type weapon, so I modularised him.

Also, more heads plus group shot.

Those heads are great! What a gang.
Someday I may have to take a serious look at necromunda.

The modular special weapon is particularly good. All the various forms mesh together really well and look good. I especially like the melta.

The heads look good to me. Like others were saying a helmet and beard will cover a fair bit of stuff. They do make the models look better then the initial stock sky dwarf ehads.

The dude is the shotgun looks good enough to be an actual official model. It's a space marine bit I think, but from what set?

Fantastic work and a truly inspirational one at that. I have a huge, soft spot for Necromunda. Your gang fits the theme of this game perfectly. :::cheers:::
