It was great. I was supposed to go out but I could not leave the screen. I even phoned my brother to tell him to watch it. UK residents can watch it on the net using the 5 catch up service, I think.
It sounded like a weird idea, apply improvements to the original design and test the result, but watch it and it makes sense. They use only materials available at the time, but do use modern tools as they saved time but resulted in the same (ish) effect. There's no point really in doing these sort of things and telling people that they must use the old tools as well, as the modern people haven't got the years and years of apprenticeship and learning and experience that the people did in the past with those tools.
