Aren't that many spikes on it, to be honest. It works pretty well.

I concur with DK.  I used him as my TGM/WP etc.  Awesome model.  Looking forward to seeing what you do with him!

Has any1 worked on the Chaos Archeon model , removed the spikes etc and swapped the head for Empire?

I'm really gonna make this one a fine piece !

I'm thinking of a rare OOP Shield I saw, and maybe an Arm swap, plus some green works

thank you he was fun to do. He usually gets killed, when he goes on the board with 3000 pts of lancers and, horse archers it is fun to watch peoples eyes bug out.  Good luck with yours, can't wait to see it. steveb

yeah i was going to say you have enough cavalry to field 100% cavalry, which I expect makes you very excited about 8th Edition rules in June?

If they can make cavalry more of a realistic pts cost etc!

Here I looked it up as you still didn't say way TFT is.

Thin Film Transistor (liquid crystal display)

From what I just read, they are a varient of LCD and they have a better image quality than a regular LCD.

Stop pulling me plank gents, all Laptops have TFT DIsplays in, as do most PC Monitors.

An LCD is basically an LCD TFT, eg. a liquid crystal display with a thin film transistor logic layer.

Each pixel has a small Transistor which switches the cell to allow through a certain amount of light in the desired colour.

I just had this horrible thought that somehow all along Warhammer Empire has been a dream world, locked in time 30 years back , that I somehow accessed, where people have never heard of TFT displays!!

Chumley, can I ask what painting experience you have?

You've only been in the hobby for a few years, right?

Chumley, can I ask what painting experience you have?

You've only been in the hobby for a few years, right?

Started age 8 with some old school kit, humbrol etc, 40K aged 11 to 16 on and off, but my painting style lacked quality.

I recall aged 16 starting to paint a deathwing terminator quite well, and feeling i was about to get good!

Then women, d rugs , alcohol , study, university all took precedent,

I got back into this for the painting initially , with a quick spell in 2004 for a few months, but then again a couple of years ago,

Just ran with it as you can see from my PLOG,

the first models i painted  2+ years back were the Empire Plastic Knights,

you can see my effort in the PLOG at the start,

i didn't know the difference between panthers and reiksguard , so the shields and heads are all mixed up, but the colours and blue and yellow - nordland ish...
