Guys a quick rank and file trooper from Marauder 1990's.

I tried a new colour scheme I have been thinking about !

What do you think about dark purple with light blue?

Looks great. This is what I imagine a Greatsword to look like, excpet with 2hand sword, ofc. Would look completely badass a unit full of these armoured guys.

I'm thinking maybe I could get a whole unit of heavy armoured OOP metal troops in this colour scheme

Wow, I love this picture. I'm making my army follow Nordland theme, and you're a great inspiration.

Chumley, can I ask what painting experience you have?

You've only been in the hobby for a few years, right?

Started age 8 with some old school kit, humbrol etc, 40K aged 11 to 16 on and off, but my painting style lacked quality.

I recall aged 16 starting to paint a deathwing terminator quite well, and feeling i was about to get good!

Then women, d rugs , alcohol , study, university all took precedent,

I got back into this for the painting initially , with a quick spell in 2004 for a few months, but then again a couple of years ago,

Just ran with it as you can see from my PLOG,

the first models i painted  2+ years back were the Empire Plastic Knights,

you can see my effort in the PLOG at the start,

i didn't know the difference between panthers and reiksguard , so the shields and heads are all mixed up, but the colours and blue and yellow - nordland ish...

Thanks chumley, Your stuff is absolutely quality, interesting to see how you got there.

Hope you get to the eurobash, would love to fight against some of these!

Loads of people have used the Archaeon model for their mounted general; someone should start a "Show us your converted Archaeon ...." thread!

Isn't the horse a little big, very big?

Else, great figure. Will he join your Northland forces?

Archaeon has a big steed no doubt!

The sword is standard to the model.

Very nice

Yeah its not too difficult at all to smooth the chaos sword down
And the whole figure is enormous, using it next to the Empire Knights is a bit comical since he towers over them.
