Your method is about identical to mine, but I'm doing the Hurricanum.

No, I don't want to bet who'll finish first.

cool, the bleached bone snakebite mix washed several times looks great as a base colour for the Luminark.

I'm just starting now on some metallics.

Amazing.  :eusa_clap:

Two questions:

1. Can you choose if the big wheels go on the front or back - it looks like the way you have done it makes the laser cannon shoot upwards?

2. Those blue icons on the horse neck armour - are they twin-tailed comet symbols?

Two questions:

1. Can you choose if the big wheels go on the front or back - it looks like the way you have done it makes the laser cannon shoot upwards?  Or by doing scenic stuff on the base means the wagon isn't level.

2. Those blue icons on the horse neck armour - are they twin-tailed comet symbols?

1.  The large wheels go on the front as the rear axle is lower to the ground than the rear, it should mean a level platform though.  It may be that chumley has positioned the lascannon with a lean.  And front is determined by having the loops for the chains that the link to the horses, to pull it along

2.  Yes, they are part of the sculpt

Wow, do you fancy writing up a paint guide for that? ESP the horse barding. I'm about half way through my hurricanum  and this makes me feel very humble...

washes , many washes , with hair dryer action,

all paint must be thinned with water,

started with whole model sprayed white, then watery bleached bone coat, then washes ,

wash

great work chumley  :::cheers::: do you glue (and attach to the base) everything together before painting? From your early pictures it looks like it but I'm not sure.

Nice job, Chumley, as ever :)

Also, I love the horses. Looks like I have to get those from a bits site!
Now go! Ride towards the sun atop these noble steeds
You're our spandex heroes, now fullfil your destinies
And so we turned and rode beyond the castle walls
with shiny codpiece armour that doth cradle our chivalrous balls

yep there is no finesse to my style,

i literally glue the whole thing, spray it all, wash it all, fast as possible!

Speed painting extraordinaire! Very impressive considering the little time you spend. Probably about 4 times faster than me :). I´m temted to try your techniques out on the Warriors of chaos army I´m planning. Starting out with some marauder horsemen. Will spray them in some dark brown tone and then go havoc with the washes. After that one highligt on each area.

Great work!  :::cheers:::
