the sculpt for the 2nd Valten here is wrong, note how his hand is bigger than his head!
He has got armored gauntlets on...

Hows this Ulric?

Don't who if it's my eyes playing funny's but the robes and wolf pelt look like they are one piece, but nice work as always  :::cheers:::

I find it funny that in some pics White Wolves are red yet others they are blue  :icon_confused:

Ok so Valten's Cloak, took em some time, i tried a hexagonal pattern in the end , in yellow, with weathering powder over laid to give the ends of the robe a realism, as if they had been dragged through the dirt.

I really like this one. It's bright and eye catching but the weathering really balances it out. You may want to change the blue on the end of the hammer though.

Ok guys, my new project is to re create Marauder 1988 F60 fighters, bringing them back to their former glory with the original paint job advertised in white dwarf.

If you are reading this and can help me , I have highlighted the models which I have already managed to buy, and need your help to sell me the others !

Good luck in your search, would love to see these all together and painted well.

The price on ebay for some of these is a little bit on the expensive side

I had a flirt with CMON again, bad move. Posted Valten on foot, and he got a reasonable score for the simple paintjob.

Then I improved the image and added some detail, re posted and he got slated, like 4/10, the same score as other models which are painted without any highlights or washes etc.

Ridiculous.

So I used a cunning proxy server , routed via china, and gave myself 40 votes at 10/10,

stick that up your bum CMON,

They have this inner circle of judges who always vote straight away.

You get a flurry of votes within the first hour that your image goes live, usually 15-20,

if those people see you re post or simply dont like your work, it gets tarded.

Now I recall why I hate that website !

I'm gonna post a really bad model on there and give it 500 votes at 10/10 , then sit back and laugh, and take all my other ones off.

Sorry guys, I hate CMON, dunno why i went back to post on there lol

Tried some NMM on the sword ,

not 100% happy with my colour choices. Some bits nice but overall a bit off

I also didn't like the Yellow Robe, something wouldn't let me stop thinking about changing it.

So I tried red, then wasn't happy, and had to add some runic symbols and a band of colour, then the hat had to change , and the beard LOL

happier now

Wat u recon?

Now that was not the usual 2 hour monkey job!

I prefer him with the red robes too, and that 'ice' sword is awesome! I tried to do something like that once on a power sword for a Space Marine Terminator and it went completely tits up, so really jealous of your skills!

That looks even better than it did before. Definite  :::cheers:::

The only thing that bugs me slightly now is that his grey robes are kinda too light for a grey wizard. They look like something a light wizard could wear. I'd really prefer them a touch greyer. Less white looking. That is literally the only thing I am unsure of though. Overall, it is spiffy.

Amazing grey wizard: the sword, the runes, the composition.  :eusa_clap:

I really like that sculpt too. It was the first paint job I was proud of. I remember doing shading/highlighting on the back of the cloak.
