guess what , that was Black Undercoat!

lol

The only time it's feasible imo, is where the model is 80%+ armour ....

Quickbeam's posts refute this.  I'm getting fantastic results with black undercoat.  I'll send pics eventually!

I need some1 to prove to me that black under coating works

Sorry to jump on late mate, but black undercoat works for me. I use it for bringing up metallic and silvery armour parts; when I need bright colors I simply cover the target areas with an additional layer of thin white undercoat after the drybrushing - something you need to do for the adjoining parts after drybrushing anyway.

Great figure!  I had him at one time...but have lost him to the mists of time...

You PJ is top notch...the angle of the shield looks a little odd though...

Cheers,

GW spun 3 models from this sculpt,

this one, one with a beard , and an unreleased general!

The sculpts were so much cooler back then. Sigh.

I think a lot of the models from back then had variations on a theme.  I can see why, 3 models for the efffort of scultping 1 and a half

The skin tones on your Norse looks great, not so sure about the blue helmet on the big guy though.

Edit - no, I think it just took you painting your celestial h red for me to notice that the war altar uses the same carriage as the luminark / celestial. MIND FUCKiNG BLOWN!

this is an inspiring thread you've got going.  i do have one  question about your reikland spearman unit back on the first page.   I'm borrowing a couple of your ideas for my reikland army and I wanted to know how you painted those red shields or the colors  (if you vaguely remember).  it really contrasts well with the white on the uniforms.

These old models really are quite dynamic. It would be interesting to try recreate them and their poses by converting current plastics. I imagine quite a bit of repositioning would be required!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01mgllj/Horizon_20122013_How_Big_is_the_Universe/

The observable universe is expanding into an infinite space , it's now fact...

I'm a bit gutted.

I was somehow hoping that the whole shooting match would prove to have a finite size, it makes more sense to the human brain...

Have a watch gents, it's very relevant to Warhammer.

Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only, but all BBC iPlayer Radio programmes are available to you. Why?

If you are in the UK and see this message please read this advice.

Go to the BBC iPlayer Radio homepage
Then make three times that. It should be enough for half the roof Glue
You could certainly amass quite a collection of testicles
