She is sitting in a small pile of bits to be turned into my Grand Master's beautiful Tilean wife . . . currently she is slated to go on a Bret warhorse, but I am beginning to wonder if the Demigriff might not be a better choice . . .

I have her horse(or at least its head).... lol
Then make three times that. It should be enough for half the roof Glue
You could certainly amass quite a collection of testicles

Looks like he'll get that new car after all, then ;)

Hoping to get me a Blanche painted model myself.

Alive yes, apparently artistic director or some such at GW nowadays. My greatest inspiration back in the day both in terms of artwork and model painting and conversions.

i recall in 1990 reading WD articles about him, and even then he looked like a haggard older sons of anarchy style biker,

he must be pushing 60-70?

Just to prove how i cheat !

after a very thin white spray, the whole model gets a coat of mournfang brown mixed with water and carroburg crimson wash

sitting it on a radiator helps thin the paint wash as it dries

I am very interested in your technique, Chum - while not going being using it exactly as you do, I am thinking of using something similar on my own Demigriffs.

And I think Lucy is going on a horse :)

Next step, quick base coats , shield detail base, then heavy wash and back on radiator

John Blanche is still alive and has a regularish column in White Dwarf. He's as insane as ever as far as I can tell :)

And talking of legends, I sold some miniatures to Bryan Ansell the other day!

Nice DGs by the way. Hurry up and finish this one please, I'm assembling mine over the weekend and I want to copy your painting technique ;)
