the mini on the left i almost got off ebay but it vanished rapiddly, also it was a sword sculpt instead of a axe under 1980's gw battle lord or something like that.

Love those piggy back halflings up the page. I tried for ages to get those from ebay, but they always went for stupid money, so I gave up. Nice work.

i managed to get one painted badly, and patch it up, for £11

as you say usually they go for £30 each !!!

I also have to repeat my compliments about the presentation from earlier in the thread.

The project and the painting is excellent, but the way you are now presenting them as sets is really wonderful.
They do need to be made into pdfs and then into a document.

It is a slotta base and it says GW1987 and then rather amusingly 'cavalry' on the other side.

The sword one you have was pictured in WD96 I think and may be listed as a C11

They are different sculpts and not a small change. The sword one has the legs around the shoulders, the spear one has more of a piggyback pose with legs round the waist.

Chumley ... have you started buying older Empire knights yet? Found a package of 3 that I might pick up for you if you need them.

They are certainly not GW 28mm, nor 28mm, probably 25mm at best. One of the horses has a sad paint job thats slowly been wearing off, but little if anything else has been painted. One figure is a guy brandishing a sword in the air and no helmet, the other two have helmets and lances, if I recall correctly.
