First time I've seen some of those painted.
Some of the nicest figures sculpted next to some of the dodgiest

for sure i'm collecting all the Citadel Thieves, Militia, Mercenaries and Rangers from 1987 and painting them all as one unit , of marienberg militia !

some of the sculpts are horrendous!

but some quite nice!

I think each one of the F4 - Mercenaries sculpts are fantastic. haven't seen them before. Love seeing them painted up and photographed now, brings them back to life

Chumley this is awesome work! last year I dusted off my 4th edition empire army and decided to start collecting again filling in the gaps. I never had that much access to a GW shop in the old days and relied on mail order so I've only ever seen some of the old pre 4th edition miniatures in white dwarfs, its so good to see them now painted and photographed here! I'm still reeling from the news that they stopped mail order and metal minis altogether a good few years ago!

I rescued this one , had him in paint stripper for months, couldn't shift some of the paint, so went in anyway ,

i tried a more un clean paint style, random and with highlights taken further

Fantastic new additions! Not every old model is a beauty - others again are just great. But all of them certainly have a lot of character and a certain charm and your painting helps in this regard.

Some of them date back to 84' so the sculpts are rescue missions, lol
