Otherwise when you are speed painting the base colours, reds , blues etc, and holding the miniatures by hand, you will rub off the thin layer of balor brown and the washes ...

You can skip the purity seal, IF you don't use your hands to hold the models.

How come they rub off so easily?

I seldom if ever, have that problem.

They do rub off,

if you use thin watery coats, the paint rubs right off metal models , on the raised areas

Correct, but painting 99% plastic makes you forget that.

I had at least three of your latest batch of thieves (front rank nearest, front and rear rank middle). They look a damn sight better in your inks than they did in my 80s enamels.

When a man embarks on such a divine quest , sometimes he needs reassurance to keep him on the righteous path, especially in such a minority, when the masses are collecting all the new stuff!

Thanks for your comments Blue !

I shall re double my efforts and spend £2000 more on e bay !

I read someone on (I think) the Privateer Press forum describing his hobby as being buying miniatures. Things like converting, painting and even playing were just side-effects :)

I have said before, in my younger years my spare money used to get drunk in pubs and nightclubs, chasing women, smoking intoxicating green herbs and lads holidays to Dam and Prague,

buying rare models that can only accrue value is a gift compared to pissing all your money down the drain !!

I have a collection of over 1000 GW Empire / Human slotta models now, and about 10 un-released ones,

must be worth something !

So the wall cabinet houses all my GW 1985/7 Slotta fighters , (i'm missing the un released swordsman model, un released fighter general, battle lord on horse, and 2 of the standard ones, but other than that i have the full collection 100+..... Arg also the Nuln spearman, but he mite be a myth methinks).

Then I have every GW Barbarian ever made, apart from the 3 unreleased models shown on solegends.com, but there are no pictures of 2 of them anywhere , so they might be a myth..

http://www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Misc_Fantasy_-_Unreleased

Also i now have 70 halflings from 85-87 , including the one from the magnificent sven scenario, and 2 unreleased ones, ,

also have every paladin, lord of battle and heroic fighters of the known world model, every blandford warrior ,

=================

in the cabinet upstairs i have every 1985-7 GW wizard apart from 5 .... every paladin apart from 3, every marauder 87 fighter,

every marauder citizen apart from 4,

95% of mordheim ,

90% TSR, 90% AD and D,

and a growing collection of the 1985-88 townsfolk , villagers and travelling players

==========

arg over and out for now

Is it some form of sickness or pure genius?
