FANTASTIC. After a Vampire, then a dwarf, then a Beastman... I was wondering where all da Humans were at? And here they are. Very nicely done. Did the humans win? Was this a VP game, or objectives, or just a casual "decide who we think did better" kind of affair?

I'd love a gaming room like yours chumley although my daughter would dismantle it in no time, she tends to grab my models and say 'daddy toy' so they tend to be kept locked away! Any chance of a write up of your battle?

Alas I have been slain ,

the IC Knight Horde fled to a Yell and Bawl from a giant with terribly unlucky dice rolls!!

So we had a second game today , and alas, the darn IC Knight Horde rolled a 1+2 = 3, to charge Trolls Horde, (my knight had the banner of flame),,,,, so they failed the charge , giving him time to re group , and flank me with 3 monsters, ,,,,,,,, guess what, IC Knights failed Terror test as he charged me, rolling 11 , and fled off !!!

Both are examples of why I am 100% taking Reiksguard Knights in Horde from now on with a nicely Ward Saved GM in unit, for the Immune to Pysch !!

In a game this size, losing your key unit is a no no lol

Shame that won't work as GM's ItP doesn't  transfer to reiksguard.  Where was the BSB?

So basically I don't even get ITP from Special-choice Reiksguard with a TGM, I have to take the much less survivable, 170+ points Kurt Helborg?! This on top of Reiksguard being what, 27 pts/model and not even Inner Circle?!

Why do you insist on using the Luminark horses, when back in the 80's all the Knights came with is the basic plastic barded warhorses we use today....?

I think Luminark horses are good but not amazing.  The poses are too similar, like they're doing dressage.  Detail is nice though.  And miles better than the 25 year old boring ponies we have to put up with.

The old models in one unit together though doesn't look right to me.  It's a mashup of Knight s Panther, Knights of the White Wolf, Reiksguard and High Helms.

I think Luminark horses are good but not amazing.  The poses are too similar, like they're doing dressage.

JAK and I have had excellent results cutting them up and swapping halves around; he did it for his "Hornets" and I did it for some centaurs. No pics of mine yet, unfortunately.

Q. WTF are 'High Helms'?! I thought the 'High Helm' is the champion of a HE Silver Helms unit...?

We're talking fluff from 25 years ago.  The emperor wanted to create a new order of tall knights with tall helmets, they are the ones in the photo with the tall thin helmet feathers.  Most of the unpainted in the third rank or the first unpainted guy from the left of the front rank in Chumley's picture

I'm not saying it's ugly, I just question the unnecessary, I.M.O,  expense; you already have just about every Empire model ever released - why over-complicate things?
