Yeah I'd like to keep it under 100 men but still have some kick, Im trying to figure out what to add next a piece of artillery or knights on unbarded warhorses? I still need to finish out my swordsmen with 1 model and spearmen with 3 models.

Thanks to Captain Basilicus I was able to solve three problems at once

1. What to do with the lone pikeman?

2. Needed a 10th man to finish my swordsmen.

3. Needed a standard bearer for my army.

Now my swordsmen have a full command. I used the Ebersberg flag, I was gonna modify it but it looked too perfect. I feel it is only right to incorporate some of Ebersberg's history into my own fluff.

That banner turned out dandy!
I love the boar and tree motif. I'll have to go back through this thread to look at the rest of your army.

Yesterday I was finally able to get a hold of a model I've wanted for over a year, The Reiklander Youngblood with spear. I know its not a rare model or anything but I had trouble finding one at a reasonable price. I have always liked this one because he is young and in reality most soldiers are young and he is unarmored with holes in his clothing which is very Stirlandish. I look forward to getting this one painted.

The youngblood characters are all pretty cool models, sold a pair of middenheim youngbloods a couple of months ago, really great models!
I'm sure this guy will make a great addition to your army. :biggriin:

Its not just the Youngbloods, Mordheim in my opinion has the best models out there

I definitely miss Mordheim -- mostly for the great figures.
That Reiklander will fit this army nicely.

I like the group shot, particularly the rag tag nature of the men, and the bowmen out back look suitably deadly.

I have one of those young blood spearmen that I picked up and painted to add as a 25th spearmen to my block of 24 back in the 7th edition days.

Here are some pictures of my new knights, Im using what Ive got a Bretonnian and two battlemasters. I plan to mix them in among proper empire knights one day.

The Bretonnian knight is Charles de Nattern and fluff wise he is supposed to be of Bretonnian noble stock anyway so I think the figure works

Here is a little bit of my side army the Beastmen. Ive only finished 8 so far 24 to go. Im only doing a basic paint job on them, just so they are playable. I decided to go with black eyes but I see now that it was a mistake, they just look unfinished  :-( What do you guys think should I go with red eyes? Are they good enough to pass muster or should I put in a bit more effort?

I plan on mixing skin colors throughout the units.

5 I painted this week

I just finished my second knight of three. I don't think the battle masters are that bad for the price Im pretty happy with this one. Im still trying to figure out what to put on his shield. I taken pictures with flash and natural light so you guys can get the best idea of how they look.

I just finish three more Ungors and now my 1st unit of them are complete. Im happy with the standard bearer but I think the grays of his skin and the banner may look to similar what do you guys think? I may just roll with it. I've been doing them with grey skin lately. I'll will give next 4 or 5 I paint tan skin changing the color every 5 or so until Im out of Ungors then mix them up to give each unit a diverse appearance.

My loose army list is as follows

11 Ungors, full command

11 Ungors, full command

10 Bestigors

Doombull w/ Great weapon

I know 11 Ungors per unit is hardly ideal but until I get more its how they are set up.

The Battlemaster Knight looks very nice!

Good progress with the Ungors. Nice to see a mix of the older and never types, and two skin colours in a unit. :)

I added a new skin color today, I really like how quickly these older models paint up. I need 20 or so shields, if any of you can help me or want to trade message me. I need 20 shields, beastmen, chaos, any other army or a mix of these will work; I can imagine that beastmen would use shields looted from dead enemies.

12 man unit mixed skin tones, Im happy with them they are a big change from the empire I usually paint  :-D

Cool unit, I really like how you use different skintones, it makes the unit look very dynamic! :smile2:

I've been looking at a beastmen battalion at my local hobbystore for quite a while, I absolutely adore the models! I know, blasphemy! ::heretic:: :-P

Yeah I figured a mix of skin tones and models from different eras made them look motley but I guess calling them "dynamic" works too

Are they the current generation of beastmen? Ive always like the previous generation of beastmen models the best especially the gors. Im not big on the storyline of beastmen but the models look great. I get what I can find for $10 and under on ebay, I dont want to spend too much on a side army.

I think it is the "newest" version, but I'm not sure. :-D

I actually kinda like the lore side of the beastmen, the whole "pure beings of the warp and chaos" makes their hatred for order seem very genuine and pure. They are chaotic, but not "evil".

I guess the thing that I dont like about them is there lack of a common goal or unity. The beastmen are like a bunch of kids in their early 20's with no plans and no job just chilling and partying  YOLO. I do however agree with you about the fact that they are pure chaos which makes them awesome. The sculpts are outstanding but I wish the fluff and characters matched.
