Tribun's new Empire - Blue steel and dirty cloths!

 :biggriin:  :closed-eyes: :dry:New AB's coming out, time for new Imperials!    :smile2:

Hauptmann Kurt Betz, Schwertmeister

http://www.coolminiornot.com/302837

Did you just use washes over a white bases coat? Bases make it pop

Well, well, here's a thing. A fellow stealer of ashtrays on this forum!

I've always wanted to try the "use washes only" technique. You have convinced me that it can work. :-)

Actually I'm not using washes only, but do also some highlighting, when needed. It's my own style, made by try-and-error over years.

Good job, Tribun. One gripe, though: Valten is blond!
Now go! Ride towards the sun atop these noble steeds
You're our spandex heroes, now fullfil your destinies
And so we turned and rode beyond the castle walls
with shiny codpiece armour that doth cradle our chivalrous balls

Now I wanna show you some dwarfs...yes dwarfs, I know they are actually no empire soldiers anymore...but there have been times, when dwarfs where a fix part of the empire regiments...long, long ago.

Plus: Those minis are my most favourite sculpts in the whole range.

So I'm going on using the dwarfs as swordmen-regiment.  :smile2:

Enjoy:

Hello , your work is really eye catching, a unique technique , bright, the dwarves look very very good.

Just wondered - do you use dry brushing frequently?

Ask yourself , what is real? 5 sense filtered reality is a very limited perspective.

Thank you very much for this, I'm really a big fan of your work and it's great to hear you also like my work!

Yes, one of my basic techniques is drybrushing and the creative use of washes/ shades.

The boar rider is a old knight from the box-set of the game: claymore saga (that's was the name on the german market), also made by citadel.
