Mordheim Table (many pics)...
« on: March 15, 2006, 09:11:04 AM »
I have shown this on Warhammer.org but thought that there might be people here who has not been there to see it. It is my Mordheim table with half of my pieces (all by comission) where we battle it all out...  8)

That's very, very nice.

Captures the environment extremely well.

I like the inclusion of the original Mighty Fortress as city walls..!

I had already seen this on TWF but I believe I didn't comment on it back then.

That's truly some inspiring terrain you've got there, terrain is so important with Mordheim that making sure you've got enough good quality terrain is truly worth it!

Yup, I am with BAWTRM and Donnachaidh. It captures the Mordheim feel very well and is a lovely terrain board. Excellent work!!  :-D

Is there anything in particular that the sign says above the gate?  It's really good work, I especially like the skeletal remains, nice touch.

That looks fantastic!

One question: are the terrain peices individually based, or is the table always the same?

I'm just wondering if you always have to play Mordheim with the same table layout, and whether it gets a bit boring...
You can't have everything - where would you put it?

The sign says: "Willkommen in Mordheim"

All the pieces on the table, half of my collection, are movable so it never gets boring, especially since I can variate my table with other buildings and rubble piles/barricades. I have a similar board for Empire in Flames that I will take a few pics of when I get my new stuff.

 That is an awesome set of terrain! Hmm... If you adopt Lustria's open formation rules, or just allow regiments to break into Skirmish formations, you could have a WFB cityfight on that thing!

I love Mordheim.  I need to fix up my terrain pieces.  But that city is way better than mine!!  Nice work!

WOW!!!

I've been working hard to make my own Mordheim table for the better part of 3 months now. Just yesterday we played a game and I was really happy with the way the table worked out...

...UNTIL NOW!

@SHADOWLORD: Dear sir. I love the way you've improved the cardboard buildings from Blood on the Streets. If I'm not totally mistaken you have put all the pieces from the box into one large complex as seen in the fourth pic. GREAT IDEA! A question though. How did you thicken the walls? What material did you use, how did you texture the inner walls and how did you texture the outside also? I'm dying to improve my cardboard houses to look more realistic (my other buildings are handmade).

Oh I raelly love that table. I'm building one with my friend but since we started 4years passed an we don't live to close anymore
:-( Sometimes we try to meet and continue but on the one hand we don't meet to often and on the other your skill has improved in by the time ever we started, so you can imagine, the older buildings do look reall crappy and the newer ones quite good.
I think I will never get over that:-(
But I love yours.
