I've only been here a day and I love this place. hot/cute single women everywhere, cool roommate, friends coming over to hang out and drink. I can pretty much go anywhere and do anything. This just feels great!

I've finally gotten my friends to realize how fantastic Firefly is, and we're soon starting the second part of a two day marathon. I curse the pilot episode for not being quite on par with the rest of the season, it's really hard to draw people in by just showing the pilot.

yeah the pilot episode is kind of rough but it sets up the universe, characters, and is really well done when you break it down (like Mal using many religious/faith symbols in the war and then after he wants nothing to do with it, showing he lost everything including his faith in serenity valley). Though it is not as fun as the other episodes. There is a tone shift halfway through the season from serious to more light hearted and fun.

Yeah, I posted it someplace. The short version is that we just wanted different things from the relationship and mutually agreed to break up. Very amicable, and we're still sortof friends.

wow. first day traveling to work from my new place. The women are intimidatingly hot, and numerous.

Yay self consciousness. Ah well. Got a run in this morning and kind of want to tonight but I dont want to push too hard at the start. Arm and shoulder hurt for some reason. Probably healing up from the move. The most physical thing Ive done in awhile. Friend who left my work in December came back today and remarked that he gained weight and I lost weight. I didnt know how to take the complement. Mah belly still sticks out to much IMHO. Roomate was saying its 95% confidence and 5% body when it comes to women. But I still cant help but be intimidated a bit lol. Some less intimidating women were passing me in the hall with their lil dog and I greeted them and the dog stopped them cause it wanted to hang outside my door as I was trying to get in. Was cute. Girls were a bit friendly but not enough to strike up a conversation.

And then the film comes around and is all dark and serious. But they liked it so I call this a win.

I saw the film before the series, and I thought it was was kind of disconnected from the series. When I saw the film again later, there were a couple of things that stood out as a bit strange.

Still, the film has to stand on its own legs.
