I love this blog- I've been following the army closely on Twitter but it's great to see all the pictures in one place!

Crazy excited to see how those not-so-Demi-gryphs turn out! That might just be THE most EPIC unit I've ever seen!

Thaks for the encouragement folks.

Here's the display board, WIP and almost finished (just need more tufts) pics.

I am happy with the red tiles, they help to make the white stone look whiter. Thie construction of the display board went incredibly smoothly, i had all the pieces in my garage and there were no hitches in it's creation.
Not much time left now for Warhammer Fest.

Your blog has been one of my favourites ever since you posted your very first pic. Excellent work!  :eusa_clap: Keep us posted!

Have you ever thought about posting tutorials on terrain building? I'd love to read them and learn more about the way you make these awesome buildings.

Well folks the Burgomeister's Mansion was completed at the weekend. I managed to get some final touches finished for Warhammer Fest Golden Demon 2014. I needed to add a title to the work so I came up with the idea of the Burgomeister sending Nagash a personal message saying, 'Nagash, we are ready, we are Ostland!' In the form of a small scroll sealed with wax.

I think it turned out well. I also like the fact that the Bugomeister with his body guard monkey is standing out front waiting for Nagash.

So here is the finished model just before packing it up for the 160 mile journey to Warhammer Fest.

I had to come up with a way to protect the model fort he journey so I turned it into a space marine drop pod.

Then added some bubble wrap for good measure

I left at 6am, drove for 3 hours and it made the journey without a scratch. I set it up at the venue and viewed the other enties, some outstanding work on show, unbelievable skills.

I entered the open competition as this was the only category I was eligible for. This was a toughy as this was the only category that GW staff could enter.

So the winners were announced at the end of the day and I was amazed to have one a bronze Golden Demon. This is the first time I have entered the Golden Demon and have to say that I am still buzzing from the result and probably will be for a very long time.

This was not only a victory for me but also for the community of this forum. Sure it sounds cheesy but it's true. Without all the encouragement and positivity I really don't think I would have managed to see the entire 5 year project through. I'm lucky to be a member of this forum. Thank you.

Congratulations! A more than well deserved 3rd place! Personally I think your project would have deserved not only a golden demon, but also the slayer sword, to honour the time investment, dedication, dimensions and quality of your project!  :::cheers:::

The griffon flying round the tower makes it for me. It's just exactly the kind of epic detail you normally only can see in illustration. To see it done physically is pretty amazing.

I bet it was bigger than everything else there by a long way.   Congratulations on getting an award.  Should be Gold though!

Warhammer Visions would be worth getting to see this featured.

It's hard to imagine anything beating it Bish. Congratulations,

I suppose we might be slightly biased here as the subject is empire releated though.
